Pros & Cons
Worked great for my vacation! I bought this item in an effort to streamline the amount of tech-related stuff I needed to pack for my vacation (within the US). This item, with its 6 device charging potential was perfect for me! While on vacay, I usually charge my devices overnight- so I cant really speak to the speed, but everything was fully charged every morning when I woke up! For reference, I travel with my iPad, Samsung cell phone, Samsung Active watch, and wireless earbuds. The charger is small enough to easily fit in the palm of your hand / carryon and comes with a detachable cord. I specifically chose this piece, as it offered both USB and USB C charging capabilities, and it did not disappoint. As a (perhaps neurotic) safety precaution, I always unplug chargers like this after Im done using them. I would highly recommend this little unit for anyone traveling, looking to minimize the amount of chargers they need to pack. I actually bought a set of short cords to charge the devices with, to further minimize the tech debris in my bag. So at bedtime, I just plugged in my ipad, stood it on its side, along with my phone, watch and headphones. Highly recommend, it did exactly what I needed it to do- charged everything for me overnight, with only one electrical plug needed!
Nice charger for both USB-C and USB-A. My wife and I keep a multiport charger on our nightstands for charging all the devices we use during the day. Previously we had used a multi-port charger that only supported USB-A. With newer devices using USB-C and coming with charging cables with only USB-C connectors, we needed a charger that could handle both. This one fit the bill with 3 of each type of port. Plenty of power for handling my iPad, iPhone, Watch, and headphones. Charger does not get warm at all. The small size is nice with the limited space on the nightstand.
Reduce your charger footprint. Been using the block for over two months. The block is great for having multiple cords in a smaller footprint without shuffling plugs to charge different devices. It does charge at 9V, but when additional devices are plugged in, it only charges at 5V. It will fast charge an iPhone at 20 watts as advertised (via usb-c), but with six devices attempting to pull 20W (x3) and 10W (x3), it does not supply the full rated capacity (60 of 90W). If you are actively using a powerful MacBook, you may benefit from a native charging block at times of heavy use, but if you are like most users that have typical electronics, this charger is more than you need. I expect it to fulfill my needs for years. It's like six charging blocks in one bock similar in size to a MacBook Pro charging block.
Super fast, powerful charger that is small and portable! This USB C charger is awesome! It is very powerful for charging all my devices and it is small and portable. Since many devices like the new Samsung Galaxy S22 phone no longer come with charging boxes and use type C to C cords, I love that this charger had ports for type C cords (and of course regular USB ports for other types of cords). Having more than one C type port was one of the main features of a charger that I was looking for when I stumbled across this wonderful product. It is nice and small (yet has 6 ports!) , so it doesn't take up much room wherever you put it, and it is easy to travel with. It charges my devices quickly and efficiently. This is an amazing product and worth every penny! I love mine and use it every day!
Get your nightstand or office charging station to full power. When the product first arrived I thought it was low power and wouldn't deliver what I was looking for. After reading the description a second time I decided to take it out of the box and give it a try. Turns out this is perfect for setting up your standard charging location. I'm able to connect my Apple watch, iPhone, iPad Pro, headphones and still have room for 2 more devices to charge at full charge speeds. I love that this product has a mix of USB-C and A ports to charge. I just have too many devices with different cable options and this device allowed me to not have to compromise. For the price there doesn't seem to be a comparable product available on the market. This product has been such a win that I bought a second to setup for my wife's nightstand and I'm looking at doing a 3rd for my home office so I have complete charging for all of life's device charging needs.
This thing is GREAT. I bought this for the house, as it's older and has very limited outlets. I had all my stuff plugged into it, and when we took a trip and I started packing up all my chargers, I realized I didn't need all the individual blocks, but to take this thing instead (yes, I'm a little slow). That was a great call, because at the hotel, I had it plugged into the desk, and it became the hub used by all our family members throughout our visit. We'd all hang out, and the kids would have all their stuff plugged in, and then we had all our stuff plugged in at night. I know that's its purpose, but it was incredibly convenient. It works well, I haven't noticed it getting hot or otherwise acting sus, and I'm going to get another for our next trip.
Are these reviews legit? Not happy. Not charging my devices correctly. The port that does work is turning on and off. Tried with multiple cables.
Low charging power. I should have realized this in the reviews but bought this to replace my charging tower since it has USB-C. Disappointed in how long it takes to charge anything. Also, doesn't have a smart stop so once the device is done charging it keeps charging which results in some batteries being damaged as a result.
Unable to power HomePod mini, seems OK otherwise. I got this adapter because I was excited to reduce the number of power cubes around my nightstand. With three USB-C ports and three USB a ports it seemed like an ideal thing. I wasn’t planning on powering anything major like a laptop with it, just charging phones, iPads, watches, and powering a HomePod mini. It seems to work fine for charging the small devices, though I’m not sure what the total power output is as I haven’t tested it with them all plugged in at the same time. Today I tried plugging in my HomePod mini, and I got an orange blinking light on it, which indicates not enough power. The HomePod mini with the current firmware is supposed to require 18 W, and this adapter is supposed to deliver 20 W at 9 V. So according to the specifications it should work. However, it does not, which is disappointing. I guess it’s not that surprising, this seems like a very generic device. There is no brand labeling on the outside, no user manual, no branding on the box, not much of anything. It just comes across as very cheap, which I guess it is. I’ll be returning this and buying something that’s higher quality, that does not have issues of being unable to power devices that it should be able to power.
Does not support USB PD. I like that this device comes with 6 charging ports. It is relatively compact. The price is reasonable. The major issue is that the device does not seem to support USB PD. I verified this using a USB tester and three different devices that support USB PD charging: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S10e, INIU portable charger. With all of these, the Sacrack's charging voltage remained at 5 V and the current was less than 2.4 A. I have three other USB PD chargers and I can get up to 9 V, 2.2 A for the S22; 9 V, 1.67 A for the S10e; and 9 V, 2.2 A for the INIU. Therefore, the problem is the Sacrack charger, which cannot supply more than 5 V, 2.4 A. I would not recommend the Sacrack charger, since it does not meet the advertised specifications.
the slowest charger I have ever used. This is the worst charger I have ever used. I've owned a few chargers and none have ever charged this slow. Even plugging into a computer USB port is faster. Both the USB Type A and USB Type C ports are slow. The USB C ports are a little faster than the USB A ports but not by much. In another charger of mine, I could fully charge from 0% to 100% in well under an hour. But with this charger, after 5 hours, it was only around 85%.
Overheated, caused damage. This item massively overheated, causing charring on the surface it was on. The charger also emits an audible buzzing sound and has a series of flashing lights that are disruptive at night. I tried to reach out to the company for help but was told I was ineligible for support.
