Pros
Works for ultra low power IoT device (always-on, how to). Not sure if it's a bug or feature. My ultra low power IoT device can stay on, after long pressing the power button toggling the LED lights on and off. Without this procedure, the power bank will auto-shutoff after 20s. It feels like, somehow, toggling LED lights lowered no-load current requirement of the boost circuit. If you are looking for always-on power bank to fit your low power IoT projects, give this product a try, it might work with my aforementioned procedure. My IoT device has been on for one hour, not auto-shutoff yet. I'll update if it fails to keep on.
Last a looooong time. Mine lasts a long time . We use it while camping. I also use it for powering dew heaters for Astrophotography . They both draw a lot of power. I can shoot for like 3 nights between charges . Didn’t heat up even with large draw. Haven’t tested solar. But I wouldn’t rely on it from this battery or any other of the size. Nice assortment of cables attached and the flashlight works great super bright. I wish there was a red light option . And maybe a hook so I could hang it . I use Velcro straps on my telescope mount
Amazing Power Bank if they send you the correct item. Ordered this power bank for an upcoming trip. They sent the wrong item the 1st time. Thankfully, the deliver is super fast and quickly fixed. We started using it before our trip b/c we were in the middle of our sports season and needing to charge phones. We loved it so much that we ordered a 2nd one. Again, got the wrong item sent the 1st time. So we ordered 2 times and got the wrong item both times. 1st time got the correct item the next day. 2nd time, we got the correct item 2 days later. The product itself is awesome! Love it. Took a star off b/c of the hassle of having to go out and return them twice.
4 hrs to charge 70%. It’s pretty good, unit was fully charged out of the box,m. The wireless charger took 4 hrs to get %70 percent on an iphone charge. I was not using it. I haven’t tried the lightning cable provided, I’m sure it’s faster. Overall satisfied, I have an 8 hour training so that’s what I plan to use it on as all my note taking will require an iPad and phone.
Incredible. Quite incredible for the price. The flashlight is even brighter then I hoped it would be. It came fully charged and worked flawlessly right out of the box. Should be super handy for everyday use or emergencies and power outages. Get one NOW!
Super Powerful. Once I opened up the package and powered it on, the flashlight turned on pressing the power button for several seconds. I was lucky to receive this the next day when I got the shipping notification email. I’m looking forward to using this at work and other places when out and about, not needing to plug into a wall charger and carrying many wire plugs. A+ to have.
Cons
Specs don't add up. I was confused from the ordering page of the amount of power this battery bank could put out via the built-in USB-C cable VS the USB-C port. And even though the manual and the spec page state that the built-in USB-C cable AND the USB-C port produce the same voltage and amp, it's actually not correct at least from the readouts I get. After comparing both the built-in USB-C cable and the USB-C port, I've found that the built-in USB-C cable is NOT fast charging. When using the built-in cable my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra states it is charging at a normal charge and is NOT fast charging. When using the USB-C port with a high quality USB A to USB-C charging cable, my phone shows it is fast charging. To go even further, I used the app AccuBattery to measure the voltage, amp and charge rate. While using the built-in USB-C cable, I was only getting around 1600 mA charge current. The USB-C port provided around 2300 mA. An actual USB-C charger that is certified for fast charging, specifically QC 3.0+, I can get 2800 mA. I can also use faster chargers that provide QC 4 or 20W PID chargers that can provide 3000+ mA. Wireless charging wasn't much better. Spec sheet states 5w Qi wireless charging capabilities. I've been able to get maybe 3w which is about 800 mA charge current. I know the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra supports 15w. What does this all mean? It means that this battery bank specs aren't correct in the manual or on the spec sheet which make me believe there might be other specs listed that are incorrect. Also, it means that the built-in USB-C cable is inferior to the USB-C port. Why was it designed this way? I am not sure. Maybe because the built-in USB-C cable is flat and overall just a thin version of a USB-C cable that it can only handle so much current. The battery bank also has an inferior and outdated charging port which is the micro USB port. I get that there is a micro usb built-in cable. It is in order to charge older devices. But the micro USB port is input only. Meaning it is only used to charge the battery. And it would take probably 3x longer to charge the battery bank using a micro usb cable rather than a usb-c cable. I guess it's nice that it's there but micro usb is so old and outdated I can't see anyone wanting to use it to charge the battery bank. I've attached pictures to show my measurements and my findings. Overall the battery bank is okay. The solar charging won't ever be useful unless in a zombie apocalypse since it would most likely take a couple weeks to charge the battery depending on sun exposure. The dust flap is annoying and just doesn't stay in. If you're okay with mid to low charging speeds with a high battery capacity this would be the one to get.
Solar charging weak. I think had i done my research i would have realized that the solar charger would be inadequate. With that being said I charged it up using the usb-c and have used it for 2 days straight to charge 2 phones. They were not at 0 but they fully charged. For the price it’ works as good as expected
Not 36000mAh probably closer to 10000mAh; flashlight works as intended. This Power bank is certainly not 36000 mAh. I used the device after times to charge the following... my phone (s22 ultra), from 70 to 100 with an ext cable. Then again using the wireless charger to 90 to 100. I then used it to charge my phone from 40 to full. I used it to charge up another battery pack I had (5000mAh) from 69% to full I also used it to charge my switch lite from zero to full. I never charged my phone from zero to full in one charge but if you add the percentage that's a full charge over 3 charges (s22 ultra has a battery that roughly 5000mAh). The other battery pack was not a full charge also but it had 31% charge till full (1500 mAh roughly given that that battery pack is also 5000 mAh). The switch lite has a battery capacity of 3,570 mAh per Google. This battery pack is much closer to 10000 mAh thah the advertised 36000. It kinda fools you in to thinking that it is based off of how large it is plus with the various cables it gives you. The pack is make of plastic that makes it look like it can tank a nasty fall but I wouldn't test that out. I haven't tried the solar panels and charging it that way. The Flash light works and it does charge your devices. The wireless charger works well and honestly made me consider a 3/5 rather than a 2/5. All in all If this product was actually advertised as it is with the correct battery capacity and was priced down in the mid 20's this would be a perfect product. But you have a misleading product that is not delivering all the specs and features promised. P.S. Amazon has you give Star ratings for features. The charging power is a 5 as it does charge. I am giving a 3 for travel use because it will charge a device but it's not 36000mAh. (I've seen others talk about solar charging not working, but I'm not using/haven't used that feature). Battery life is a 2. It would be a 5 if advertised properly.
wouldnt fully charge with solar option. update 10-27 i was contacted my a customer service rep. this was her repsone "If you are willing to give us the chance, would you like to delete your previous comment through this link below?
