The reason I play better golf. Pretty great set up. Wife saw the Amazon package come in. She said “you better return that.” I think she was mad it wasn’t one of her hundreds of packages that come in each month. Anyways, glad I didn’t return it. Works great. I use it the night before me and the boys go out for a round. They ask me what I’ve been doing. I say “Listening to my wife.”
Easy to set up and very portable. The media could not be loaded. Finally I can practice in my own backyard!
What to return for refund. Great swinging pratice setup but not very strong golf balls go right though netting and tear back stop, strap that holds back stop in place also has failed
Cons
Not a good net. I'm not a fan of this net. It's fairly annoying to put together, similar to a camping tent with its long fiberglass poles. Those poles were fraying straight out of the box and made my hands itchy from the fiberglass. The first things I noticed once I started hitting balls was it was small, it's loud, and it moves all over the place. It might be 10ftx7ft, but because it's a pyramid shape it's way more narrow at the top so I wasn't confident hitting anything less than a 9 iron in case I hit a bad one and it flew high and to the side, it could easily go over/around the net. With the impact target thing installed it is super loud. The target is made of nylon or something and doesn't stretch or give which causes a loud bang when the ball hits it. I practice in my basement which meant I was annoying everyone in the house. Remove the target makes it quieter but it's still not quiet and I'm not sure how long the actual netting will last taking direct hits, it feels delicate. Lastly, because I have it sitting on my concrete basement floor and not staked down, it slides all over, especially when hitting driver. I kept having to stop and move it closer to me which was annoying. I ended up buying a more traditional rectangular net for less money and it is miles better in every way.
So. Many. Holes. This net is absolute trash! This is at best a chipping net if you are using real golf balls. Being that it comes with real balls I would expect a lot better quality. In a matter of three days I have put 10 to 15 holes in the net. The back of the net on the bottom tore out from the bottom canvas. The bottom right elastic ripped off the target. The front right tent pole peg tore off. Overall this is possibly one of the worst products I’ve ever purchased. The golf balls it comes with are the cheapest balls I’ve ever seen. The hitting mat is so light that it slides 3-4 ft when using irons. ETA: Now the seller is harassing me via email to delete this review. So now we know the reviews are padded. Terrible product and a deceitful company. DO NOT BUY this.
beware of loose fiberglass on poles. hi, i recently received my golf net and while i was setting it up (straight out of box) I began to notice that the fiberglass polls had been "scratched" up and I ended up getting a ton of fiberglass in my hands. I am very displeased with this product as i can now no longer move it due to the fiberglass poles putting fiber glass in my hands. Other than that, the product works fine and i hope the suppliers will work with me to get new poles.
