Very Happy with this QGeeM Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station! Success! I am super happy with this QGeeM 16 in 1 Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station. I just plugged it in and tested all the ports and everything is working properly without any issues. Plug and play - just like it should be. I am using this with a MacBook Pro M1 16” laptop. I bought this as a replacement for the Satechi Thunderbolt 4 Dock 11-in-1. I wanted to like that unit, however the Audio Out had an issue where it was setting the volume to MAXIMUM and changing the balance all the way to one side. Every time I rebooted my machine or changed the sound source the volume would get changed to Max, which was so loud that sometimes it scared me right out of my chair because I’d forget that it was going to happen. Satechi was very responsive to my emails, but they were unable to resolve the issue via any kind of software fix. They suggested that I had a bad unit, so I exchanged it for a replacement unit and the second unit I received was even worse than the first one because there was no audio at all! The Macbook did not see the Satechi audio port, so for me it was unusable. When I ordered this QGeeM 16 in 1 Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station I was a little nervous that I might have similar issues. Maybe I had a problem with my laptop? NOPE. The audio is working perfectly, Every port is working perfectly. Also, the arrangement of the inputs on this unit is superior in my opinion to the Satechi. All of the items that I plug in and basically never touch again are in the back. All the empty ports are up front facing me. I like this arrangement much better. I am very happy right now! I will update this review later if any issues arise, but as of right now this is great.
Works well for a reasonable price. I have an Apple M1 Pro MacBook that has only Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 ports with a USB-C interface. I have several USB-A peripherals: keyboard, tablet, screenbar, SuperDrive CD/DVD burner, etc. I also have an old Apple Cinema Display with a MiniDisplayPort connection and its own USB-A hub. Finally, I have a microphone and speakers, both of which use the 3.5 mm connector. This relatively inexpensive Thunderbolt 4 dock allowed me to connect all my peripherals to the laptop while keeping the cables neat and tidy. After I got it set up, my housemate (who did not know about the purchase) commented that my workspace looked much neater. It's great that I don't even need to run a power cable from the Mac to the wall outlet any more, as the docking station supplies the power. When I opened the package I was a bit dismayed that the docking station was very light and seemed rather flimsy. I initially also had a problem connecting the microphone and speaker, and so at first I thought the unit was defective, but I realized later that it was just user error on my part. It took me a while to get all my peripherals connected and to test each port, but after having had this for a week, I am very delighted with it. It is great to be able to just unplug ONE connection from the laptop and carry it away when I need it, and to make only ONE connection when I bring it back to my desk, and have all my peripherals available. I am very impressed at the value for money that this dock provides.
Excellent multi-monitor dock for a Macbook Pro. This Thunderbolt dock is very well built, with a metal chassis and rubber feet to prevent it from sliding around your desk. All the ports are arranged in logical places to be used. Supports Thunderbolt 4 for the fastest speeds and all the features of new Thunderbolt 4 laptops. You can definitely drive multiple displays with this dock. I have two independent ultrawide WQHD displays arranged side by side, and I have both hooked up to this dock via HDMI and my Macbook Pro is able to use both with different contents. To get this to work though, you need a separate USB-C to HDMI adapter, because MacOS *still* does not support daisy-chaining DisplayPort properly. This is an Apple problem; a Windows laptop has no issue using multiple displays using any combination of the HDMI and USB ports for DisplayPort. I have one monitor plugged into the HDMI port on the dock and the other plugged into an Anker USB-C to HDMI adapter into one of the rear USB-C ports on the dock and it works fine. It would have been nicer if they just had two HDMI ports on the dock with an internal adapter on one of them, but I can also understand why they would not want to hard-code an adapter to work around a Mac-specific problem. Oh, and you can charge your laptop too at near full speed with the same one cable used for data and displays too, which is awesome.
Works great, everything I had hoped for! I've been using this dock for about two weeks and, so far it has been great. For the most part it works as intended and I'm able to connect all of many high-speed devices. The included thunderbolt 4 cable is plenty long. One thing to be aware of is that even after turning the dock off with the front power button, this device will stay powered on if you have any usb devices connected that backfeed power. In my case it's a cheap powered hub from an amazon basics which is causing the issue. I don't think this is a problem with the QGeeM dock itself but rather an issue with my powered hub. It's something to note though, because a small amount of backfed power could possible damage either the thunderbolt dock or the drives connected to it when the dock is powered off via the front panel button, so if you plan to but this dock and connected an external powered hub, make sure your hub does not backfeed power!
Thunderbolt 4 docking station works with M1 MacBook Air. Bought this docking station to use the M1 Macbook Air as my main computer without having to constantly connect/reconnect power and display cables and USB-C hubs. Got it for the $168 deal going on and saved money enough to buy a decent USB-C-to-HDMI cable for my 40" 4K TV I use as a 2nd monitor. The docking station has plenty of ports and power to simultaneously charge the M1 MBA at 85W, run the TV display, and connect a Samsung T7, USB thumb drives and an MicroSD card. If I could suggest one thing to QGeem, it would be to add at least one more USB-C TB4 port in lieu of a USB 3.0 port. The unit barely gets warm (I'm not doing anything intensive) and takes up very little space on my desk. Just one cable to my laptop and I can now use all of the devices I need without hunting for adapters or swapping each device to the M1 MBA's two measly ports. The unit may seem pricey for some, but for my use case it was a bargain at the price I bought it for and I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
Truly An Amazing Thunderbolt Dock! I've been in IT since 1989. During these years, I've seen endless companies make amazing claims regarding their products only to be disappointed over and over again. QGeeM, however, has EXCEEDED MY HIGHEST EXPECTATIONS with their Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station! It is much less expensive than the competition (OWC, Satechi, Anker etc.) and higher quality than their products as well! Laptop: 2021 14" MacBook Pro Running Ventura 13.1 I set up the Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station, and like Apple used to be, "it just worked," out of the box! I've connected three USB 3.0 drives and two USB-C drives. In addition, I'm using the Gigabyte CAT 6 Network connection and the Laptop Power Charging function. Cable clutter is now a distant memory (for married guys - definitely going to make your wives happy campers!). I've tested the earphone plug function and, this, too, works flawlesssly! Again kudos to QGeeM for an amazing product. Thank you so very much

Works and doesn't work. I bought this product with high expectations because as some of the reviewers mentioned, it's so hard to find a decent Thunderbolt 4 Dock for Mac. My use case is very simple - 2021 M1 Pro 16inch: want to connect 2 monitors 4k 60hz. All other ports on the dock are not that important. The Upstream Thunderbolt port needs to provide enough power to my Mac in my case 90W. This product works and it doesn't work in all cases. 1) it has one HDMI and one thunderbolt port in the back - if I connect my first monitor using HDMI and my second monitor using thunderbolt - HDMI support 60hz and thunderbolt support only 30hz. 2) if I connect vice versa - the first monitor using TB4 and the second monitor using HDMI - both monitor supports 60hz. Not sure what is the logic behind this, it's practically not usable...because every time I restart the laptop I cannot control the order of the first and second display connection. Sometimes both display work as expected and sometimes it's not. And also every time I restart the order of the displays changes depending on which monitor pickup the signal first, TB port vs HDMI port. I will do some more research on this issue hoping to make it work before deciding to return the product.
It is not a dual monitor docking station. It does not have 2 HDMI ports. it says you can connect to the usb thunderbolt for a 2nd monitor...but i'm not aware of a thunderbolt monitor? so...didnt use it, returning, but beware...it is NOT a dual monitor docking station
Died after 2 hours of use. Well, this dock was great for about 2 hours. Plug-and-play, everything worked right away on my MBP M1 Max; external 2k screen, stupid fast transfer speeds through my external m.2 SSD enclosure, wall-powered USB hub, Antelope Audio interface AND it charged the computer. Unfortunately within 2 hours of plugging it in, it suddenly shut off and it’s now completely dead. Going to get my money back and try something else - a pity though, it was exactly what I was looking for while it was working.
Does not work with Mac Catalina. This has all the base features needed for a good dock, but feels a bit cheap (sharp edges, flimsy sounds, etc). Works on my personal M1 at home, but does absolutely nothing besides charge on my work machine (2019 MBP16) running Catalina. Even tried installing DisplayLink drivers as some other reviewers have mentioned. Was not able to actually able to test all features since I got this for work environment and it does nothing.
Very unreliable. USB devices connected to this are not always detected by the OS (Windows/Linux, doesn't matter). You usually have to power cycle it or unplug/plug in again in order for all devices to start working after reboot. Even after that, it sometimes loses connection to the Ethernet controller. Also, my USB flash drive connected to this hub gets extremely hot, even if it is idle, no I/O running.
Does not work. Makes promises it can’t fulfill. USB ports didn’t work. Only had 1 port for a monitor when advertised as supporting 2 monitors. The 1 port did not work btw. Also didn’t come with a usb c to hdmi cable for the second monitor. Returned this item and paid up for a better quality dock that actually works.
