MeshForce M3 Unboxing & Review. The media could not be loaded. First off, I work in the IT industry so I’m familiar with most of the devices available to consumers. I am a tech nerd as well and love to explore new items out in the market. These literally took me 15 minutes to setup via the app and are super user friendly. Someone with very basic knowledge of internet devices can set these up, that’s how easy it is. I came from a Netgear Nighthawk series router and so far the speeds I’m receiving with these are faster than I was getting with the Netgear. I’m averaging about 220mbps download and 10mbps upload compared to the 160mbps download and 8mbps upload I was used to getting. I have over 40 devices in my home ranging from game systems, phones, tablets, computers, electronic devices, nest thermostats, cameras, WiFi lights and my security system that all connect to the internet either wired or wirelessly at all times. I’m very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable mesh WiFi system for their home.

Great for the regular home users. I made the move towards a mesh WiFi system after being fed up by the inability of my existing system to provide a reliable signal in the entire house. I used to have a network made up of multiple access points and still experienced random disconnections and buffering of streaming video, but no more... This system offers an easy installation and very solid performance. It does not have all the bells and whistles of other systems, but 99% of people don't need those features. The initial setup was boringly uneventful. Turn cable modem off and back on, wait for connection then plug in. Connect to the network listed on the bottom with the key listed and done. The installation of the app was simple, adding additional access points is a matter of plugging them in. It came obvious that the WiFi speed is much better, I measured 226M - the best I saw before on my phone was in the 70M range download (I have Comcast so my upload speed is LOUSY). My previous speed tests on wired devices showed good speed so the bottleneck was the WiFi network. The stability of the connection is excellent, I ran a ping test while streaming a 4K video and things looked good. One thing I absolutely love about the app is the ability to easily setup groups for parental controls and be able to pause the Internet with a simple touch - that immediately gets the attention of young ones. Now to the not-so-good things, which the overwhelming majority of residential users will not care about... there is no browser management interface - so you will have to use the app, the documentation for mixing static IPs with dynamic IPs in your LAN is non-existent (most users don't care about it, but it seems possible by changing the DHCP address), it is not possible to disable the DHCP server and use the mesh as a distributed access point. If you don't know what these mean then you don't need them... This system is probably not for the computer gurus who need an advanced control of their network, however the minimalist configuration requirement and the solid performance make it a great choice for "regular" home users.

Incredible value! I'm an IT professional with 20+ years of networking (wired and wireless) experience in the corporate enterprise industry. I recently move into a new house and had AT&T 1000Mbps internet service installed. The tech had to install the router in my downstairs kitchen, which is about 8 walls away from my upstairs office on the opposite side of the house. Needless to say, my wifi coverage in the office was pretty weak even with a 1200ac wifi router. I typically lean towards big name companies for reliable tech, but after researching and reading reviews, decided to give MeshForce a try altough I've never heard of them before. The specs looked just right, my main concern was the app/management interface which is AWESOME. I am not a fan of most trendy overly simplified apps as they tend to lack the neccessary details and features I've come to expect over the years. These developers nailed it! The app is above and beyond most other big box manufacturers. Wifi coverage in my office is now blazing fast. In fact, i get the same down/up speeds in my office as I do when I'm standing 1' away frkm the router itself. This is an awesome product for an amazingly low price!

Cons

Works well but gives all your network traffic away. Pros: easy setup, good speeds Cons: network information is given away every 60 seconds Got the three unit system in April and it was easy to set up and the speeds were good. However, I recently setup a traffic monitor on my network and found that each unit was connecting to three separate Chinese domains every 60 seconds. In the three days I watched, they connected a total of 18,000 times. On the fourth day I blacklisted all outgoing network traffic to these domains and the three units stopped connecting to the internet or appearing in my MyMesh phone app. I opened a ticket with MeshForce to ask about this. Their response: this is set by their factory and required for the devices to connect. Nowhere in the product description is this information noted so I am leaving this review here. These products do exactly what they say but you are also paying to give your information away without MeshForce disclosing this.

2 of 3 boxes did not work and I spent 3 weeks with Support and they refuse to replace or refund. I received the product and went through installing the app to create the wifi. As a network specialist, I understand DNS, Wifi, Access Points, repeaters and Mesh networks. I follow the instructions and the main box loads up, allows me to select the wifi name and settings with no issues. I then plug in the 2nd one right next to it to allow for it to connect and it does not after 45 mins of trying. I go on the website, forum and look for any info. I email support and 3 days later, Bonnie replies with reset the main and reset the 2nd one. I have already done that multiple times per the online help thread. I reply with my detailed actions and 2 days later, I receive the exact same email telling me to reset the boxes. She then says I turned off the LED on the 3rd box so no LEDs would show. I replied yet again that the 3rd box does not power up. I tested the voltage on the power cable, switch the cables and it does not power up. I ask for a refund or a replacement as I can confirm these are faulty. 2 days later, she replies again and tells me to reset the main and then reset the other 2. Sound familiar? I reply within an hour and tell her that we have gone round and round, yet nothing has changed. I would like a refund or replacement. I have now waited for 3 days and no reply. Stay away from not only this product but this company. No matter how inviting they look, the customer support and issues were not worth it. Thankfully, Amazon stepped up, saw the emails that I had tried to fix the issue and refunded me my money.

Sorta Works. I purchased this product as a result of product placement on Facebook with the promise of a full refund and keeping the product if I gave a 5 star review. The Meshforce system was an easy set-up out of the box using the app I downloaded from the Android play store. The firmware was up to date out of the box and I set-up the system settings toward my needs. The system settings did not allow to separate network dual band settings with different names for the 2.4 or the 5 ghz designations. The network will only assign a single name and then automatically put your device on the appropriate band. The Meshforce system seemlessly transferred my phone from one node to the other when moving from one area to another. The dissappointing thing I found was that it would put my phone on the slower 2.4 ghz band when switching me to the closer node. I know this by doing a speed test in each area I moved. It would only put me on the faster 5 ghz speed when I turned off the wifi on my phone and then turn it back on. The speedtest would show faster downloads after reconnecting. I tested the extended network out by detached garage and I was getting very good speeds and great signal strength. Where previously my Netgear AC3100 router would give spotty coverage at the same distance. But I did encounter a very unacceptable problem. My main tv is about 15 feet from the main node that is connected to the modem. My phone showed fast speeds on the speedtest and great signal strength. But the huge problem was that I would buffer while streaming on my firestick. It happened while trying to play videos on Youtube, Hulu, or Netflix. I switched back to my Netgear router and of course no buffering. I reinstalled the Meshforce and the buffering would happen again. I emailed Meshforce and they responded with suggestions. A couple suggestions recommended changing the system settings. I had the settings already set to the recommendations. But what I found annoying was they said I should change the settings and then power off the routers for 5 to 10 minutes for the motherboards to cool down before powering back on. I have never had to do that with any of my routers in the past. Personally, I could have given a 5 star rating and kept this system for free with a reimbursement from the manufacturer. I am truly disappointed with it and had to return it. Maybe a future firmware update will help but I rather not wait and find out. I'll use my Netgear AC3100 router.
