Tiny, low power Windows 10 Pro computer. This is a highly compact (about the size of a TV remote), very low power usage (only 15W max.) computer. I got it with the max 8GB RAM for this Celeron J4125 Processor and it came with Windows 10 Pro at the time. (Aug. 2021) It's not meant to be a powerhouse. It works well for a basic home file server and 2nd computer that runs better than a Virtual Machine. I could have used 4GB RAM, but 8GB allows me to actually use it as a 2nd computer without needing to swap memory to the SSD. It has about the same performance as an old Surface Pro 3 tablet with an Intel i5-4300 with 8GB. It would probably run a little faster if it had a fan so it doesn't get throttled, but it's sufficient for my needs as a file server with a few USB external disks plugged into it. Since it's only powered by 15Watts, you'll need a powered hub to run two USB external portable 2.5" disks, but it works fine with a single USB 2.5" disk and a USB stick. 3.5" external disks have their own power source, so they'll work without issues. I set up the system first on the back of my TV and enabled RDP, then moved it off the TV and placed it where I could attach disk drives and run as a file server and leave it "hidden" from view. Since it has no fan, it's quiet. The only sounds come from the external disk drives. I gain access through Remote Desktop and remote Powershell if I need to use the system. Why didn't I get a RAID unit instead? A RAID as a file server is not a backup. You'd still need a 2nd unit, or a much larger single external disk for a backup. I rather spend that money on more individual disk drives and make backup copies. Most home RAID are also insecure, since they're linux systems that don't get regular updates, unless it's Synology. The rest can get easily hacked because of outdated Linux systems. RAID has its uses, but for most home systems, it's unnecessary. There are 3 reasons to get RAID: 1. Speed - More disks = more speed - I don't really need it for home 2. Uptime - if 1 disk fails, the unit remains up - My home system isn't under 24/7 usage and I have backups that I can easily swap to if it ever came to that. I usually have a replacement in 3-5 years time, well before it fails. 3. Capacity - I'm not storing hundreds of TB. They sell up to 20 TB disks now. 16TB is probably the cheapest $/TB right now (11/2022) and my older 12TB (back when it was the best $/TB) is still more than sufficient for my home needs. Hopefully, in 2-4 years time, they'll have a more powerful unit that I can upgrade to. They're silent, and use very little electricity.
Great, small, moderatly vesatile but has thermal issues. Great! small! moderatly vesatile! but has thermal issues. While running windows 11 pro 22H2 on the device I was met with some pretty hefty heat from the device. It shut off twice because of this. I decided this was more a microsoft problem of poor OS optimization and decided to (effortlessly) install PopOS! (Linux). With a much more efficient OS is still did run into heat just not as quickly. (Didn't shut off tho) I opened the device and realized how much this plastic is an insulator rather than say an aluminum chassis. With this, I installed an SSD heatsync with copper pipe and fan as seen in my picture. (Yes this absolutely voids any warranty). I did have to Dremmel a square on the side of the CPU and upgrade the thermal pad. The device is still silent and so much cooler. My advice to the manufacturer, vaporchamber with vents and preferably aluminum chassis or at least fins. I am pretty sure the thermal pads would have much more of an impact with such a design. I would have paid $50 for some or all these enhancements. Thermals aside... the bios is very open so becareful with your settings. This is an excellent replacement and upgrade to Intel's computstick lineup but not as 'daunting' as a raspberry pi, and near the same price these days -end of 2022. Works as advertised. Really great for travel, the back of a projector, remote streaming device, or an emergency device backup.
Very good mini PC stick for daily use. I've been a satisfied owner of this PC stick since May 2021. It's very easy to connect my Bluetooth devices to the computer, and its miniscule size makes it very convenient to save space and when you need to move it around. I haven't had any major problems with it since I started using it. Even my transition from Windows 10 to 11 was quite smooth and I have been able to keep using it as I did before. It accomplishes all the things I would want a PC to do, including streaming videos, movies, and shows, talking with friends on Discord, Twitter, etc., and playing some games I've installed. Regarding games, don't expect this to be a high-end machine you can use to run games like The Last Of Us or Resident Evil Village, but it has been able to run games like Minecraft and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl (on low settings) quite fluidly, and it's also worked well for older titles like Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) as well as PSP emulation via PPSSPP. The only reason I give this PC stick four stars instead of five is because having only two USB ports feels rather limiting, since I own a USB DVD player and an adapter for my old PS2 controller, and I like to have as much storage for my computer as possible. So I had to buy a couple USB hubs to connect so I could use all of my devices. Overall, however, this is a very good PC stick for the average user and I would gladly recommend it.
Does what I hoped it would! I bought one to connect to a TV. The unit came shrink-wrapped, and everything that was listed was in the box. After turning it on and going through the set-up for Windows 11, I downloaded some apps like YouTube TV, and Xfinity Stream. Also downloaded Libre Office. Everything installed and works fine. Streaming Netflix and Prime Video also work fine. I was concerned about the heat generated by the unit after reading other reviews about it running hot, but the heat generated was not excessive, and was about what I expected; warm for sure, but not hot enough that I couldn’t touch the the unit. Small form factor made it easy to find a spot for it near the TV. Went through a Windows cumulative update with no problems. Plugged USB camera into it, and used it to Zoom family. Worked flawlessly. Only issue I had was setting up the time zone. It wouldn’t let me use Windows config/setup, so I used the command line to set it. After two weeks, it’s done everything I hoped it would, but I’m also not a serious gamer.
A great mini computer that upgraded to Windows 11 with ease. I have owned other stick computers. At one time, I had 3 pc stick computers. I had one intel-stick, and 2 of another off brand. I loved playing with them until less than a year the intel one got bricked due to a Microsoft update. I was missing my PC stick computer to play with. Let me tell you that this one is great. It has enough memory RAM to do the job for watching TV, browsing the internet, and using office. It might not be able to play the most advanced games, but I am sure it could handle a bunch. I say match it with a wireless media keyboard, and it is awesome! Imagine if you are lets say a tech or sales or whatever, and you go on a trip. Most hotels have a 720 to 4K TV in the room with an HDMI cable. You just power on this computer with the wireless keyboard and plug it into the HDMI of the HOTEL T.V. and you got a good working computer that was only a few inches long. Heck, it fits perfect in a briefcase or purse. So much better than dragging around a laptop with an undersized screen. Now imagine at home you have this T.V. with HDMI inputs. Well, plug this in, and now you got an extra computer with a nice screen. Truthfully, I use this stick at the moment with a 720 resolution TV that is just less than 32 inches. It is perfect for my needs.
Problem with installed Windows 11. There was a problem with Windows 11 where by typing the letter "S" at the command prompt caused immediate shutdown of the computer. I traced it to a file named "S.cmd" in c:\windows\system32\, That file contains a one line shutdown command. This is clearly not a part of Windows and is a rogue file that should be removed.

Works, but with some lag. I bought this computer-on-a-stick to allow me to run Zoom calls on my "smart" tv (which, despite it being 2022, still can't run Zoom natively.) In order to fit a full Windows 10 computer on an HDMI stick, some compromises had to be made, and those compromises are apparent when running some apps. Streaming apps, such as Amazon Prime and HBO Max tend to run slowly and at lower resolution than running them directly off the smart TV, despite being on the exact same wifi network. Zoom works, but has noticeable lag, especially at the start of calls. The issue is not a bandwidth one, but due to the limited processor and clock speed. Even just viewing the webcam (a Logitech 1080 camera) shows some lag. Interestingly, the lag typically diminishes after 5-10 minutes, and there are long periods during Zoom calls when this setup works fairly well. I bought this device specifically so that I wouldn't have to plug my laptop into the television every time I want to join a Zoom call. The only alternative, as far as I've been able to find, is Facebook Portal TV, which I don't want to use. I also looked into using a Raspberry Pi microcomputer, OnScreen (which sucked, big time), and an Android-on-a-stick computer. None of these other approaches were viable, so this appears to be the only option. As such, it works, but not without some annoying issues, such as lag.
Not industrial, not dependable. Bought for work for Data Acquisition, seemed to turn off randomly causing trends to be lost. This caused me to bring it home and use it as a remote terminal to monitor my home network. Worked well as a headless unit. Decided to use for PLEX one night, got caught in a boot loop, never recovered. It now cycles though the startup sequence, never getting passed the "Intel" logo. It's a really nice form factor, so I'm pretty disappointed it didn't work out. I ordered in July and it's a MicroUSB version, maybe the USB C version works better. Not sure.
Broken/dangling antenna, muzzled audio port, now the RED led of DEATH... Decent speed processor and RAM to start with and a joy to use 7 months ago. Now WIFI antenna broken and dangled. Sound port makes output sound like garbage on Zoom calls. LED red light no longer turns blue when connected to HDMI source. Flashed blue for a brief second and stayed red forever. Nothing can be seen on the display monitor. Replaced the HDMI cables to no avail. No US telephone number to troubleshoot. NOT a good buy over all.

These little critters just don't last - at least not for me. I'm replacing this second one with something else. Anyway, that has been my experience and I wanted to share it. I wanted to like these but that ship has sailed. the 1st one only lasted 27 days and the replacement lasted 34 days, yup 4 days after the return deadline and the only reason it lasted that long is because I rarely used it. both did the exact same thing, it wouldn't wake up and I had to hold the power button to shut it down and at restart and signing in they would open to a black screen with the pointer and that's it you can't do anything it's DEAD. I reinstalled windows multiple times on each computer (yes there's hours involved) and both did the same thing, the blue screen and when it restarts you no longer have wi-fi and there's nothing you can do to fix it, then restarting again I'd get the grey dos screen. and over and over the same 4 things would happen. oh and after the 30 days you have to pay to send it in for repairs
Fragile miniPC. I have used 2 of these for control of astrophotography mounts and cameras and have found them fragile and unreliable. The antenna in particular has a small fragile mount and is easily broken off . The power connector becomes loose, and I have had to tape the cord to the computer because the slightest movement and it fails. I do not recommend it for remote use because if it fails you need to go press a button to start it. It would be ideal if it rebooted to the sign-on screen. Mine have over heated with continuous use and communication stops. Needed to put a fan near them to keep them cool. Looking for something more robust...
