Very nice monitor for both Windows and Linux. I bought one of these and connected it to my laptop running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. It worked very well until a vertical streak appeared on the screen (it was till usable but not very aesthetic). It was covered under warranty, and they shipped a box to put it in for shipping, and I didn't have to pay anything for repair or shipping, but of course there was time involved in dealing with HP Support, packing the monitor, etc. I assume the problem was a fluke, and I bought another one for my Windows 10 laptop. So far so good, as long as the 2nd monitor doesn't develop a problem. These monitors are the perfect size for my desk, and they make my job as a software consultant much easier.
Great Monitor for the Price. I purchased a Samsung 24" monitor that would fit my custom desk. Problem I had right off was that the Unorthodox way the monitor was powered. Need to use (2) power cords and I didn't like the controls and tint. So I found myself searching for a monitor that would fit just right dimensionally. After looking again after the Samsung, the monitor was right in front of me where I work. Perfect size, no silly power cords. Color, Tint and picture quality was excellent. Easy controls and more controls than the more expensive Samsung. The screen is a Anti-glare screen and for this price, wasn't getting any shadows or glare on it. I really like how the cords connected and the monitor stand was Extremely easy to put together. Unlike the Samsung where I had to install (2) very small screws. For this price highly recommend!
It broke after 2 weeks, but they helped alot and are sending a new one. Honestly the only reason im writing this review is to share how helpful the helpline was at well.... helping. Had this guy as a secondary display for about 2-3 weeks and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately today as i turned it on, the screen remained black and buttons stopped working. I switched the display type from HDMI to display port and it still didn't work. I updated my driver, and did about everything possible to trouble shoot it but it was simply unresponsive. After reaching out to the helpline, they immediately thought of other ways to trouble shoot it and even set up a video chat so they could visibly see the issue. After a few more attempts there was no luck, and the display was simply bricked. The part i appreciate is that the dude was not only very very helpful and chill, but they are sending me a new monitor immediately. That whole process, plus the fact that it does exactly what is expected when working is why i gave 5 stars.
Excellent Deal. It’s a fantastic monitor. I use it for work and it more than meets my expectations. The image quality is good for what I need but I could see a gamer wanting higher resolution and/or a higher quality monitor. It’s perfect for working from home.
Excellent size and quality. I had many monitors over the years, and recently I've found that HP is making the best quality monitors for the price. I bought this one for my wife's online classes and she loves it. It is big enough for viewing a lot at the same time, but also small enough that she can move it around the house and use it on any table. I definitely recommend it.

Decent for the money. Decent monitor for the money. Does everything it is supposed to. In my opinion it is a pretty good deal, especially since it comes with the height adjust stand with rotation. The colors are fairly vibrant and the display is bright, which I like. The only problem I have with this display is the quality of the LCD panel. Out of the box, mine had a noticeable bright-spot on right of the display. Annoying, but not intolerable. Additionally, the coating on the display is very good at picking up reflections. I would not recommend using this in a bright, sunny room. Some light is fine, but bright light sources (like the sun or a nearby lamp) will reflect annoyingly well. Finally, this display has fairly poor blacks. My other display (an Acer B243HL, which is too old to even have HDMI) has better blacks, which is disappointing. Overall, a good display for the money. Not ideal for fancy-pants professional work where colors need to be spot on, but no one doing that stuff would buy a $150 monitor. But it is more than capable at completing everyday tasks, so I would say it is fine.
Beware: May not be compatible with Windows 11. I believe this monitor model precedes the Windows 11 launch. It worked very well with my Dell business lap-top running Windows 10: great picture, adjustable stand. However, when connecting to my home Dell PC running Windows 11, my desktop functionality was limited. I had all of my desktop short-cuts and they worked, but all of the icons and functionality on the lower taskbar were missing, including the Start button. There were other issues also. I checked the HP website for any monitor drivers and found that none were available for Windows 11 (only Windows 10) with a note that if the OS driver was not available, then the monitor may not be compatible. I then switched back to the old monitor, re-booted, and the same errors occurred and appeared to be permanent. Possibly, the monitor installed some plug and play software that corrupted the Windows 11 files. This was the conclusion reached by the Dell techs helping. After a couple hours of troubleshooting, we had to re-install Windows 11 to get it back working. I've returned the monitor and am looking for a newer model.
Good monitor but weak screen. Love the size of the monitor and it offers pretty good graphics for the price. Unfortunately around 10 months into my use of it a crack appeared at the bottom of the screen and the monitor screen popped out at the opposite corner of the crack. This monitor has been sitting on my desk the whole time and never been dropped so really disappointed that just randomly occured. Even though it was still under warranty it would cost around 100 dollars to replace it, when I bought the monitor for around 200 dollars, so not worth it.
Pet owners think twice! It's an LCD. The picture quality is quite nice. A decent base gaming monitor. The screen has no bevels and breaks easily. Good midling grade monitor with FHD. Enjoyed monitor for approximately a year. This is an LCD monitor. I honestly didn't think that businesses bothered to make LCD monitors anymore since they're so dated, costly, and environmentally unfriendly. Unfortunately it's not stated anywhere in the description that it's an LCD monitor or I honestly wouldn't have purchased it. My purchase ended up having deadly consequences. My cat, Bagheera, suddenly decided he really liked my monitor (after a year of using it) and bit the corner cracking the screen. A couple days later he became very ill and stopped eating. He lost 25% of his body mass. I never suspected the screen. I brought him to the vet and had tests run. The vet said that he developed jaundice from rapidly losing weight. She said the tests showed no underlying illness. She questioned if he had come into contact with any poisonous materials. Not knowing my monitor was LCD and knowing Bagheera lived in a highly controlled environment, I said no. She said the only other likely cause would be a congenital defect. Bagheera went downhill quickly and needed to be put to sleep. My friend ended up questioning if biting the screen hurt him. It then dawned on me that my monitor could possibly be an LCD. I knew the liquid layer of LCDs can contain around 30 toxic chemicals (including mercury). Turns out the monitor was an LCD. It was the only object in his limited environment that contained toxic substances. Which he also had contact with prior to illness. With LCDs being known to cause animal deaths and congenital defects more rare. I'm inclined to believe it was the monitor that harmed Bagheera. In the end, it was a freak accident. No one's fault, except possibly my own. But I don't recommend pet owners risk it. You could be out a monitor, $500, and a loved companion.
