Pros

Solid for 2 1/2 years, then POP and a burning smell! What happened next will surprise you... I purchased this in January 2015, and it was a solid PS until one day in September 2017 when I heard a POP on booting, smelled some burned electronics and my computer wouldn't power up. I swapped the power supply with another I had on hand, and the computer booted fine, though with less peripherals because the ps I swapped in was 600W. The board this was powering was running an AMD FX9590 running at 4.7Mhz, an Nvidia GTX960 and multiple peripherals and drives. When I purchased this product I had forgotten to register for the warranty, but was allowed to do so with a copy of the receipt from an online account, and a serial number from the unit. After registering for the warranty, I contacted customer service through a trouble ticket and described what happened, and they immediately authorized an RMA. Shipping and insurance from the East coast to West coast cost $20 (flat rate USPS), but considering that these Power Supplies now cost more than double what I originally paid for it, the $20 is well worth it. So it was RMA'd on Friday, shipped on Saturday, and received on Monday in Brea, CA. Turn around time was 10 days from me sending out the damaged power supply to getting a new/repaired one. I'm very happy with the repair, and I still have 7 1/2 years on the warranty. I'm EVGA customer for life.

Beast of a PSU. This thing is a monster. I got the 1300W version. Drives two EVGA 2080 Ti OCX's and a Core i7 with no issue. Previously I had a 700W PSU with the same setup and when under extreme load the PC would reboot. A little troubleshooting narrowed it down to power issues due to not enough supplied wattage. Upgraded to this 1300W and I've run both GPUs at full load for days (I use them to crack password hashes in addition to gaming) and I've had zero issues. Keep in mind when installing this that you should NOT use modular cables from another PSU with this one (or a ny other, even from the same manufacturer). The pinouts on these cables are NOT standard and after some research I found a TON of horror stories of people who have tried to re-use cables when replacing another modular PSU because they were too lazy to re-route cables that came with the new PSU. They fried their motherboards, video cards, and other accessories. Take the time to use the cables that come with the new PSU.

If you need a lot of power for OCing or for multiple GPUs, this is a great choice. I got this in 2014, and it has been a wonderful foundation for multiple builds. When I bought this power supply, I needed a lot of wattage - I had a 3930K with 2 GTX 780ti cards, and they were quite thirsty for reliable power. With several hard drives and high performance ram added in the mix, my peak draw crawled up near 900W when pushing it overclocking, and I didn't even go all that crazy with adding voltage. These days my wattage needs are much more modest - I run a 7700K with a single 2080ti, and it still has never once flinched. The only issue I ever had with this PSU is that if you start drawing over 600-700 watts, the fan kicks on, and it's a bit loud. If you're drawing that much power, your GPU and CPU fans will probably start getting loud too, so it's not that much of a problem. On the flip side, these days with one GPU I don't use that much power anymore... I haven't noticed the PSU fan come on in years. Again - if you need a lot of watts and you can get this for a good price, you will not regret the purchase. Don't forget to register your PSU on EVGA's website for the ten year warranty! I have dealt with EVGA customer support in the past, and they have always been helpful and easy to work with.

A good power supply but total overkill for any PC not using dual graphics cards. As the title said, this is a great PSU and will easily supply 3 graphics cards with all the power they need along with a high powered CPU and all the fans that will fit in your case. Considering a 850W PSU will be enough for 99% of builds including a graphics card pulling 400W and a CPU pulling 200W along with all the SSDs/HDDs and fans this thing is honestly total overkill however it does run cool, quiet, and has an incredible warranty. You'll have a very hard time using up all the power capacity this has and honestly you'll likely never push it past the point where it's efficiency starts to drop. If you have a crazy build with multiple GPUs in mind or you just like having a big number on your power supply this PSU won't disappoint, if you just want to run the average top of the line build maybe save the money, buy a 850-1000W PSU (which will still probably be overkill, even with some graphics cards hitting 450W) and put the extra cash towards another component.

Worked right out of the box no issues. Cable sleeves are nice and the wires feel durable. Case it comes in is nice. Quality of the materials used for the psu are nice. Got the 1300w psu after my 850w Thermaltake psu was tripping over power protection after installing a 3080 ti to my system. If you are in the market for an rtx 3080 or higher, consider at least a 1000w system as they tend to randomly peak in power usage well over the claimed power usage of the graphics cards. As cpu and gpu move forward, it seems companies are not afraid to continue to require more power consumption.

An excellent value for the money. Purchased as a replacement power supply after the unit in my desktop PC failed. Contacted the manufacturer for their recommendation and they said they use EVGAs in their current production models. Purchased this unit at sale price, cheaper than the 1200 W Platinum unit. Online reviews say the Platinum units are quieter, but this one is quieter than the one it replaced and produces more power in the bargain. Very happy with the setup and installation. Took only a few minutes once I sorted out the wiring harness it replaced, and there's an ample supply of power ports and cables supplied. I had no difficulty with the installation once I traced all the wiring paths inside the box. Overall very happy with the unit's quality, the price point, and the supplied hardware in the kit.

Cons

This Power Supply WILL FAIL quicker than most PSUs. I bought this PSU twice. The first time, it worked without a hitch for about a year, then it started doing something funny. It would refuse to turn on after shutting down the PC. I would have to unplug everything from the PC, let it sit for a while, then try to turn it back on. Sometimes it would take more than an hour. I thought this was just a weird fluke, and I already had custom cables for it, so I bought another one, this time from EVGA's website. Again, it worked for about 2.5 years, then started having the same problem, but more intermittent. I rarely shut down my PC completely, so I just decided to deal with it. However recently, the PSU started shutting my entire PC down at random times. It would shut off, and I would have to press the power button again to get it back up and running. Yesterday though, it shut down on its own and WOULD NOT turn back on. I even unplugged the PSU from my PC and used the supplied bridge to power up the PSU on its own, but it still wouldn't start. Overall, my experience with this PSU is annoying, to say the least. I rarely write Amazon reviews, but this time I was just too annoyed with the product to let it go. I've already purchased a new Corsair RMX PSU, which, frankly, I should have done after the first time this PSU failed.

Clearly used....clearly DOA....Amazon Warehouse strikes again. Let me preface this with I do like using Amazon Warehouse deals to get items at a discount (who doesn't like saving money?). The problem is it is so hit or miss and a gamble I no longer miss casinos. I've long accepted the descriptions are going to not be 100% entirely accurate,. Sometimes you open them up and grin ear to ear because it either matches the description or is much better; but sometimes when you open up one of their items, you just want to yell, "C'mon man!" So here we go.... My 4yr old EVGA 850w T2 PSU may be suspect as I recently added a RTX 3090 to go along with a 9900k both overclocked. Coil whine along with other power delivery issues led me to the decision to upgrade my PSU to something beefier to verify the power issues and to future proof my PSU for whatever next comes along that can dim even stadium lighting. So I order this Amazon Warehouse deal for ~$150.00. Great price, says it is missing bonus material. Don't really care about the bonus material, so we're good to go, right? Wrong. In comes a box that looks like it has been to hades and back and seen some things. Torn, corners ripped, one side patched up with tape. Box just looks like it has been kicked around for quite some time. My "uh oh" meter went from a 1 to a 3 immediately (out of 5). I open the box and everything seems intact. Cables, check. Manual, check. PSU, check. Ok, now we're cooking. I pull the PSU from the bag and immediately see the tell tale signs of caked on dust and dirt from prolonged and/or dirty environment use. At this point, I'm at a 4. I plug it in and my motherboard light came on. Ok, maybe it will at least work, right? Nope, turn on the system, and nothing, nada, zilch. Now I'm at a full on 5 and less than an hour after opening it up I'm angrily boxing it back up.... So back it goes.... Clearly a 1 out of 5. *Sigh*

Fried 2 of my internal Hard Drives. Ive been a big fan of EVGA products for a long time and have always used their Power supples. I had a issue where my 1000 watt was under preforming, so I ordered this to replace it. When i went to turn on my comp after replacing it, I noticed that it would not start. I double checked cables for almost 30 mins, when it finally started up. The first thing I noticed was out of 3 of my drives. My OS drive, which was the only one that was a SSD was the only one starting. I tried the drives in everything to see what was wrong (Very new drives, less than a year) and no luck. I looked up reviews and this has been a issue with these power supplies, and now I am out 6tbs and countless years worth of work files and so much to try to recover even one of the files.

Unstable above 1100W in my case. Had tons of issues with this PSU until I moved one of my graphics cards to another PSU. I calculated a draw of around 1,100-1,150 and it would crash Windows every hour or so. No issues since I moved the GPU to another power supply. You can rely on this PSU to deliver 1,000 watts max.

It is the most noise in the computer. I know you can switch it off so the PS fan does not run and make noise, but I do not think that would be wise in intense gaming scenarios. Other than that it is a good product. 3 star is only for the noise factor and not the quality.

1300 G2 DOA on main power to Mobo, Perfs works however... Computer setup: Asus IV Rampage black edition with 2x 780 Kingpins(underwater). Yes, I know that it is a little dated...but hey, it works still. I have built computers(dry and underwater) for years. My current uses two 780 ti kingpins both underwater. I had a PSU(corsair 1200) that overheated after 5 years of use and is no longer usable. So, I bought the EVGA 1300 G2 thinking that I'll have a little more power. I used my trusty testing adapter on the mobo power cable and was able to run both water pumps. After a 24 hr test with the water cycling it was time for the real deal. Added the 4pin and 8pin cpu connections to the board as well as the main 24 pin connection. Turned on the power and hit the switch. I heard a single click sound and then nothing. I thought that this was a fluke. I took out the cables and reinspected everything. Put the cables back in. Nothing. There was a 1 time click sound that came from the PSU. I thought that was normal with EVGA power supplies. Hmmm. So, I took out a rather old computer(P5Q3 w/ a 260 card in it). That computer has a seasonic 700 psu in it. Well, I swapped out the PSU. I placed the EVGA psu in it and hooked up the power cables. I though evern if this ran the old computer may not last long (lots of dust). Well, the same thing happened. Just a single click and nothing more. I took the seasonic 700 psu and reconnected it to the P5q3 board. It ran like a champ. What the heck EVGA! A seasonic 700 still runs the pants off your EVGA 1300 b/c it runs and yours didn't. Sorry EVGA .... Love your Video cards but the power supply is being returned. I'll probably end up going back to a Corsair psu. The 1200 was a good one. This product came in its original packaging and is brand NEW...never used before. This came out of the factory as a bad product. The quality control is an issue.
