Quality, durability and comfort proven during Disneyland trip. Bought multiple packs to try at Disneyland this spring. First day I loaded this one up with 2-liters of water, snacks, camcorder equipment, light jacket, GoPro equipment. Room to spare but not too bulky. Wanted to capture every moment with my grand-daughters and have space for those special souvenirs that just "had to be bought now". With the additional straps this snugged down great so taking the pack on and off for each ride/attraction was simple. It was dragged, dropped, pulled on, snagged, smashed, and jerked and held up like new. I loved the waterproof pocket on the inside which though designed to store we stuff, was a lifesaver for protecting sensitive items during rides that tend to splash a lot of water all over the rider :-) I did not even try the other packs and used this one the entire week. When done it folded up into its special self-contained pouch and went back into my suitcase taking up very little space. A great pack that will become a standard day pack going forward. Absolutely love it.
UPDATE: 1 year later...still amazing! *Update* Just had to come back & say more about this bag after owning (abusing) it for a year. Bought some elastic cord to thread through the loops on the front...even more storage! Just packed my family of 4 overnight in this gem. Pool gear, PJs, toiletries, fresh clothes & all. Filled to the brim & holding tight as ever. Never a popped zipper or even a stray thread that I can tell. Been through the washer multiple times. The wet pocket has been a lifesaver for wet stuff, but bc of its location against the wearer's back, also for cash or other valuables. Original review: Owned for 3 mos now & used it for everything from a waterpark with the family to an airplane carryon, & now a hiking trip through the western US. This is the best day pack I have ever owned, even over a couple other well-known & far more expensive brands. I have folded & unfolded it repeatedly, filled it to capacity, tugged on all the straps, hung it while heavy from the top loop...everything is sturdy & well-made. Because it's foldable, it does not have any support or shape of its own, which means no padding in the cargo area. I have learned to be aware how I pack so lumpy items dont poke me in the back while I'm wearing it, but in all I could not be happier with this bag. Will be buying a few for gifts!

Cons: -Definitely not true-to-color -Padding non-existsnt -May have difficulty standing up to being packed with heavy-ish items frequently over time Pros: -Very fair price point -Compact -Great for light packing -Enough pockets that items are easy to organize and find but not so many that you lose your mind trying to remember where you put your stuff. My husband and I hike a lot with our two young kids. Until recently, I had been using an old patrol bag or the pockets allotted in our Deuter Kid Comfort to carry items on the trail - but our youngest has outgrown his Deuter and I honestly can’t stand the insane amount of pockets in my husband’s Marmot bag. We had to fly across the country for a family wedding and I figured this cheap backpack would be a good purchase for the trip and our future outdoor endeavors. I was right and wrong. Initially really disappointed by the color (was going for something a little more feminine - but not HEY, FLORAL PATTERN HERE!), I was happy to see how big the bag was and that my two laptops, one of those u-shaped travel pillows, and all of my personal necessities could fit in this bag with room to spare. The mesh side pockets are deep and held my water bottle REALLY well. I could bend over and help a kid re-tie a shoe or pick something up off the floor and it didn’t budge. That’s a major plus. That being said, the shoulder straps become pretty uncomfortable and feel flimsy if you have heavier items like laptops packed into the bag. After about an hour of walking around the airport, I wished I had dealt with the marmot instead. For the price, I can’t really complain about the lack of padding. I know this will be a great pack for things like sweatshirts and low-weight items for short hikes, but will definitely be investing in something a little more back and shoulder friendly for our longer ventures out and about.
Cons
Not a 40L Bag. When I got this I took one look and thought, this looks really small for 40L. So I went back to the amazon page to get the dimensions, and when I calculated the volume it came out to 25L (1520 cubic inches). I am not sure what they think they are accomplishing by pumping up the volume numbers. The quality of the bag seems OK, the padding on the straps is a little skimpy compared to some of the other higher end bags I own (REI, Kelty), but it is also a heck of a lot cheaper price-wise. I will fill it up to see how much it holds before I send it back, but this wasn't what I was looking for.
NOT DURABLE!! First I would like to say I had such high hopes for this Bag as I thought it was so cute! But unfortunately, I am ultra disappointed in this purchase. I bought it to us as a day pack for trips to the zoo, museum, etc. It lasted ONE day- used ONE time and it got a HUGE hole in it. I also had purchased for one for my daughter to take on a trip but have yet to speak with her as to how hers has held up. As for me, I am extremely unhappy and disappointed. I guess I will look into another kind.
