LY-FOC 1.0 ESC with M4S Remote
Starting with the Shuffle, all new Meepo Boards will be shipped with the brand new LY-FOC ESCs. This addition allows the board to be maneuvered much more precisely. The LY-FOC 1.0 ESC will sample input from the remote as well as the motor 1000 times per second (every millisecond), making the ride much smoother and much more beginner-friendly.
It is the only remote where you can control the acceleration & braking modes independently. Its large clear screen enables you to see an overview of the status of your board without risking your safety. Sent me to the ER. amazing board for the money, in fact I paid over a grand for it, via medical bills, when it sent me to the ER, yet I still think it’s pretty decent for the money. Wear a helmet, I wasn’t because I was just doing a short ride down the road but low and behold, got a concussion like an idiot. Amazing board overall.
This a rocket sled. this is a very powerful board that will take you in a hurry. the bearings will a bit loose out the box and had to tighten them up. Thinking about getting harder ones. At higher speeds you can get some wobble if your not paying attention. This is VERY fast, and hard to think who would ever get to level 4 and top speed. Over 20 mph and its flying. The breaks are very sensitive, and again you have to watch the throttle as it will toss you off if your not ready. This is a well designed fun ride that you will get addicted too.
This thing is incredible. First time eskater here. Seriously the most fun I've ever had spending 400 bucks. Came in two days. I feel like a teenager again. Yes it's powerful and yes it will buck you off if you're not careful but you will quickly get the hang of it. I've had no serious falls yet, knock on wood. Tons and tons of fun. You feel like your flying and having the ability to throttle out of turns feels incredible. The wheels are massive and heavy which contributes more to stability than I would've guessed. It is actually so smooth that it's dangerous because it instills confidence in the rider and lulls you into a false sense of security when you should be vigilant and alert. As others have mentioned the trucks came a little bit loose but I found it perfect for maximum carving. If you're planning to take it above 20mph you'll want to tighten things up a bit.
Cons
Don't believe the hype ether I got a defect. "Don't believe the hype" The range on this board for someone who weighs 230lbs and is 6'2" is 3.8 miles on flat ground, I retraced my line tracking it with my car for a "accurate reading" I'm not sure if they hype the miles or have a lab rat for the test I sent it back before giving them a chance. Good luck making your decision.
Remote Control Broken. Remote control does not work. When I opened it I found fingerprints and smudges all over it and the back of it appears to be worn. Of course I discovered this on Christmas Eve so not enough time to get a replacement so that my kids can enjoy this present on Christmas Day. Now I have to haul this gigantic package to the UPS store to return. Was definitely not worth the money or time!
Beware. Had to order this from the website instead of here. This board is good for beginners for about a month if your lucky. Also in order to get the full millage usage out of it I wouldn't recommend using speed levels 3 or 4 as those speed levels drastically drain the battery. It's good for cruising around town though at a decent 5 to 15 mph on speed levels 1 and 2 for about 6 miles not the advertised 1o mile range. It would be a decent price for the board I go it did as advertised. Board just took a dump. Defective battery and the Meepo customer support which responds to you a day later maybe sucks big time. still no replacement battery, they don't honor the warranty as advertised and they don't have live chat or a number to call. They also make you jump through hoops watching videos and demand you record videos of you attempting to repair and diagnose the problem with the board on your own with tools you may not even have...
