entry-level esk8 pretty good value so far. This is my first esk8 board, but I have experience with snowboard, rollerblade hockey, skateboard, and wakeboard. You'd better have some pads & helmet. This board is a little bit jerky/torquey. If you stop accelerating with the thumb wheel, then you feel a jerk forward. If you want to go uphill from a stop, then you jerk backwards that could be surprising to newbies. I'm still getting the hang of cruising offroad. It's definite not ALL terrain. It has tremendous trouble with the deep mushy grass around my neighborhood. It's better than a standard skateboard, for example it's good for going over fallen leaves, seeds, twigs on a paved surface. It's really hard to turn at 90-degree sidewalk corners, but nice to carve at around 15 mph on calm neighborhood roads. I ride it for 3 miles sometimes when the weather is nice, not perfectly comfortable but fine for the price. The battery housing gets warm after use, measured it at around 110 deg F. I let it cool a bit before charging after a long ride. Good luck.
I'm truly shocked by the quality of this board, I weigh inbetween 330-340lbs. I was worried because I am a rather tall man at 6'3" coming in at 330lbs, which is the max recommended weight you can use this board at. The build itself is stunning. I bought this board after I had a good experience with the Jupiter 2. I got this about 5 months ago and have been using it for daily use for every business day for 4 months. I absolutely love this board. It handles bangs and nicks pretty well, I've taken a tumble or two at around 6mph. While it can hold 330lbs, I can feel the bend in the wood from the weight so I tend to space my feet out to the trucks, which reduces that bend. I am currently dealing with a faulty battery and reaching out to customer service so we'll see how that goes.
Very study board, easy to learn to ride, perfect for college campus. Purchased this skateboard for my son at college as he was struggling to get from one class to another in time. It has worked out great! He was able to start on level one and learn to be comfortable with riding in and now has progressed to levels 2 & 3. Very stable and steady, even at higher speeds. The all-terrain tires help to smooth out the cracks and bumps in the road & on the sidewalks. My husband (who is a big guy) even tried it out and was able to ride it around the neighborhood. The surface of the board has a rough surface that helps to give your feet a very secure feeling when riding.
Good times! I’m a big guy (about 265lbs), and in my 40s. This has been a blast. I have no skating experience whatsoever, so I started slow (on speed 1) and have worked my way up. I’m writing this review on the JKING All-terrain Jupiter-01 giving it a 5 star rating because it has met all my expectations and more. This board is so much fun! I ride the board on the street, the dirt, the grass, the hills and even on the beach here in San Diego, CA. The board and wheels handle all these terrains easily and I don’t have to worry about cracks in the road or small rocks stopping me. I’m so impressed with the power and torque going up steep hills both on the street and on the dirt. The multi-function remote allows you to control the speed, the breaks, the direction and more. My girlfriend has her own speed settings and uses the “cruise control” function to set her speed to her liking as she cruises along the beach (see video). The auto start function is the best. You just put the board on the ground and push it a bit and it auto starts. This is so nice and convenient compared to my other electric longboard where I have to bend down to start it. I ride the board down to the beach to check the surf and to get around town. It is so easy, convenient, and fun vs. getting into the car or even riding my bike. The board looks good, has enough speed and power to meet my needs and is just fun to ride. Life is good with the All-terrain Jupiter-01!
Good board but.. Good board not for steep hills and you got to change the bushings there too soft also battery gets hot really easy and than no power
Cons
The truck was damaged when I got it. I bought my board for $678 without knowing it was used. The grip tape was dirty and the back left axle was bent to the extent that I'm not able to ride it. Don't know how someone was able to return this and was sold again without quality control.
Very twitchy at high speeds never felt comfortable. Plus battery is no where near advertised. Drained very quickly. And this thing is heavy.
Board works but LED light never worked. This is a mid range electric board. We also bought another one with larger wheels and more power for $1200. This board works well overall but the LED never worked. Pretty disappointed at that.
Not a good product. One time use board. Quit on first ride after 12 minutes, remote disconnected and will not pair for longer than 2 seconds. Full charge on remote and full charge on board. Followed instruction manual and website instructions. No Luck, tired of trying after 25 times. Spending more time trying to fix the board then riding it Waiting on Jking response
