The valve turns on/off easily. I use these at the middle point (between ... Well constructed. The valve turns on/off easily. I use these at the middle point (between two hoses) of a long hose so I can turn off the water without walking all the way up the hill to the faucet. That helps when I need to change from an oscillating sprinkler to a hand-held sprayer.
Perfect for the end of the hose. I hate to have to walk all the way back to the hose bib and crawl in the bushes to turn off the valve just to turn off the water or to change a sprinkler or nozzle. Putting these on the end of the hose eliminates that problem. It also helps to keep the hose pressurized to help stop hose kinks. Just be sure you hose can withstand the water pressure so it won't split wide open.
good sturdy solid, nice closure, easy to tighten. these are really nice, good sturdy, solid, nice closure/opening, easy to tighten onto faucet, no leaks. to me they don't really seem to restrict water flow as much as i had feared, i asked and another reviewer replied the exact decimal measurement of the "bore", it's somewhere around .375, i was afraid after all the trouble i took to install THREE QUARTER copper pipes this was going to screw up my maximum water flow, it doesn't seem bad. i'm sure if you measured it scientifically it would be a monstrous loss in pressure but for what i use it for it's fine. really like they're brass and inexpensive

Works fine, but a couple of issues. This unit has a fairly small channel for water, meaning water pressure will be lower when it is in use. In addition, there are few threads available where the hose screws in. I suspect it would be easy to strip a hose that has plastic threads on its end. Other than those items, it seems well made and works fine. BTW, after I posted this review I was contacted by the seller and told I would get a $2 refund if I upped my rating. The moral of this story is, the morals of the rater may very. Further update: I discovered that two washers had been installed in the hose end of my unit. After removing the extra one, I believe the threads available are sufficient. No, I don't want the $2 and the rating remains the same to emphasize that point.
If your floor needs watering...these are perfect. They leak. They are only supposed to do two things - regulate flow, and keep the water inside them. They only do one of those things.
Dont waste your time. This product does not work as it should. The gaskets they include do not seal properly as the photo shows. Both failed. Will be returning for refund.
