Pros & Cons
This works well. I had been using an immersion blender to make smoothies, but it left the oats I was using gritty. This doesn't. Everything's very smooth, though occasionally there's a bit of unprocessed fruit. I think that's because this thing is so powerful that it can throw a chunk out of range until I invert the smoothie cup. That's my only complaint, but I'll take a small chunk of banana or cherry over gritty oats any day. I read the review that warned that this leaked--that would only happen if you don't put the blade mechanism on the cup correctly. I've had no issues with that! I'm able to grind rice in the big blender with water to make gluten free bread, too, which was important to me. The directions say not to grind grains without water. I will say this is powerful enough that it might still work, but I haven't tried that. Both sets of blades are thick, by the way, and look like they'll be durable. This isn't the kind of blade that's very thin and sharp which primarily cuts. These blades probably pulverize, for the most part. That's what I wanted, because I don't want to take the risk of part of a thin, sharp blade snapping off in our food and getting eaten. It is VERY LOUD, though. I have to warn everyone before I use it, (condo dweller with a kid) and my dog barks at it in outrage while it's blending. Anyway, one star down for the occasional fruit chunk and the loudness. Still, I just could NOT afford a Vitamix, and this works really well for our needs, so I definitely recommend it.
THIS BLENDER IS A GREAT ALTERNATIVE BETWEEN OSTER & VITAMIX! My Oster Reverse Crush blender broke after only using it for 8 months and I needed to purchase a new blender. I was not going back to Oster for sure. I have had a VitaMix blender in the past and was looking at replacing the Oster with that... but the price was just way more than I wanted to pay! So, I decided to try the Nutribullet Blender Combo as an alternative to the VitaMix ...and boy am I glad I did. I JUST LOOOOOVE IT! I especially love that I can use the single serving cup attachment to blend my smoothie in (rather than the full blender container) and I can drink my smoothie right from the cup, which makes clean up a breeze. I can choose from 3 different cup sizes depending on what & how much I am blending and I am not stuck with one size only. I feel there is way more value for the money with the Nutribullet Blender Combo than either the Oster or even the VitaMix! I am a fan!
Houston, ready for takeoff! This thing scares me, it's so powerful!! (1,200 watts). Takes no time at all to whip up a smoothie, probably about 20 seconds in the single cup: which is nice, because I can just rinse it out for the next go. Yes, it is, loud, but I think that comes with speed/smoothe-ability. I do recommend scrubbing the blade part after use, as one time I just rinsed it and, there was residue left when dry. It's nice that it suctions to the counter too, otherwise it might just lift off! I'm glad I read a review here touting this blender over a Ninja one (Reviewer said this beat it as far as power/efficiency). They haven't been in the business of making them as long as Nutribullet, so likely not as good.
THIS BLENDER IS AMAZING. I was looking for a blender that was affordable and would blend seeds and I really hit the jackpot with this set up. I love having the option of making a batch of smoothies and also just being able to make one cup, depending on the day! Would recommend this set up to anyone!
So far, so good... A couple uses probably doesn't qualify this as an authoritative review. But so far, this is far superior to our previous blender with similar accessories. This is much more powerful, quieter, and does a very good job at liquifying. The jar is 64 ounce so it takes care of crowds. All the parts seem to be pretty heavy duty. The tamper is a nice touch. The base is relatively small so it is great for smaller kitchens and already stuffed lower cabinets. Things to remember if you're not a manual reader: the blender bowl is dishwasher safe but do not run the steam or sanitize cycle. We never do as drying, steam, and sanitize use so much energy and the dishes come out sparkling anyway. The cups are upper rack only. The manual recommends you replace blades every six months. This might be a good idea if you're using it professionally in a restaurant or bar. We're not smoothie aficionados but only have them occasionally. We're not heavy users with a blender in general. Your experience might be different. The one thing I don't like about the blender jar is that the blade assembly is not removable except by using tools. The blender this one replaced had this feature. But the positives of this blender cancel that out.
Best nutribullet product for smoothies. I like that blender automatically stops when the consistency of your smoothie is right
Missing parts. Great Otherwise. I make simple smoothies, nothing frozen just greens, yogurt, oats some powders. On low its quite quiet. Works well. Easy to clean and the travel mugs are mint. Bought from the warehouse and the additional blade was missing so that sucks, only downside so far.
Nutribullet Registering????????????? My problem is when I followed to register my Nutribullet by following the registration card instructions I was not able to register it with Nutribullet. When I contacted Nutribullet and after 30+ minutes trying to register the product I was finally told that I could not register it with them, I was tpold that I would have to go back to Amazon to register the product. there is no way to do this. I just hope that the Nutribullet outlasts the warranty.
It always leaves ice chuncks in the bottom. It is a good blender but has a problem fully pureeing ice. There is always some 'un-blended' ice at the bottom (or chunks of frozen banana).
Broke after 2 years. Well, it was fine while it lasted. Recently stopped working - gets power, (lights are on), but won't turn on/spin. Two years for a $100+ blender is disappointing...
Broke in two months. I've had this blender for two months and it broke while I was making ice cream. I originally purchased this blender as a replacement for my Ninja blender, which isn't really a blender, but more of a food processor in blender form. I was excited when I received it and I could blend up kale and other ingredients into my smoothies without leaving clumps of wet veggies for me to suck up through a straw and choke on. Everything was awesome for the first two months and I was really impressed with the blender and happy with my purchase. Then, about a month ago, I was making some ice cream by blending up some frozen bananas and strawberries and the blades wouldn't turn. The lights on the front panel would blink but wouldn't wouldn't turn. The base smelled like something burning. I knew that meant the motor burned out. I contacted the company and, after explaining the predicament, they claimed that the problem was the blender blades which wear out after 6-8 months and need to be replaced. I reminded them that I had only had the blender for 2 months and that if the blades had worn out, then why was it that the base smelled like something burning. They wanted to send me a replacement pitcher and smoothie cups as long as I payed the shipping. I told them I wasn't going to pay shipping to replace a part that wasn't broken and still have a non-functioning blender which I have only had for two months. The rep spoke with his manager and said they would wave the shipping. I told them that still didn't solve the problem of the motor being burned out. I would have to wait for the parts to ship, try them out, confirm that it didn't fix the problem, and then contact them again so they can replace the base which is what's broken in the first place. The rep just kept reaffirming that the blades were the problem. even though they weren't leaking the "organic oil" that he claims wear out over time. I was not happy with the response but couldn't convince the representative of the actually problem, so I ended the call with them after giving my address to send the replacement pitcher. Within the week, I got an email saying that the parts were back ordered and could take up to 3 weeks until they could ship them. In the meantime, I've been without a blender for about a month now and don't know when I will finally have a working one to use again to make my daily smoothies. I should have spent the extra money and bought a Vitamix. I'm not happy with how this at all turned out, and I don't see myself ever doing business with this company again.
Easy to use, but is it contaminating our drink? This mixer is easy to use and quite powerful. We use it to prepare a peanuts and bananas "smoothy" and all seemed well until we noticed small black flecks in the final drink. Since the color is white, these are easy to spot, but someone mixing colored fruit would be much less likely to notice. However well we wash the lid and pitcher each time, these black flecks still show up when we mix. We suspect it may be from the black rubber seals or even the black plastic parts. We are now looking for an alternative mixer in the hope we may get rid of the problem that way.
