Pros

Very Quiet. Having owned several portable ACs, this one is one of the best I have owned so far. It cools the room quickly and is very quiet compared to all the others. I have owned two Sharps and a Honeywell and this by far outshines them. Of course I have only had it for a month so I don't know how it will hold up, from the get go I am totally impressed with it.

Top performer. I've had many good experiences with LG appliances in the past, and this time is no different. This AC unit provides ample amounts of freezing cold air and does it quietly. I have this in my bedroom and it provides the perfect white noise. It will cool my whole apartment in about 25 minutes if I haven't used it all day. For my infrequent need for AC, it's perfect. Would not work as well in a hot climate. I would recommend a window unit if you live somewhere it gets over 90 regularly.

Ice COLD Air! Pros: Love this unit! The Wi-Fi is great, the LG app is great, and Google integration is smooth! Blows ice Cold Air within the first 10 seconds of turning it on. Temperature sensor is great and auto light turn off feature is great. Cons: The IR remote controller is not very useful however.

Cons

Leaks, loud, remote control works 80% of the time. I'm not sure if my product was damaged in transit, planning on returning it when I get the chance to get it re-packaged (I've owned it for about 6 days at this point). Before it started leaking I will say it did its job 100%. My room was FREEZING COLD, this portable AC brought my room down to 60 degrees in a manner of minutes down in Louisiana with it being about 80 degrees outside. As for the leaking, there was no indicator of Reservoir being full, like I said, it's brand new, only owned 6 days. I woke up to a soggy carpet and I just had to open my windows since my room faces the sun, the carpet dried out in a few hours, so no costly repairs or whatnot. Unit gets 3 stars from me due to how loud it was and the remote barely working. I had to press the button 3-5 times to get the actual AC to read the input. I'm about 4 feet away from the unit with perfect line of sight, so any IR signals shouldn't have any issue or interference. It DOES work, it just has some slow responsiveness. Overall I'd probably buy this from the store and not get it delivered. The unit is heavy and I'm about 99% certain the leaking is from improper handling because the box did show up damaged. I'm not basing my review on the leaking, only that if you get it delivered then that is a risk you run. The 3 stars comes fully from the fact that this unit is extremely loud compared to other AC units I've owned over the years and the lack of responsiveness from the remote.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FROM LG. I have an earlier LG portable A/C that has been a real workhorse, and I love it. I figured I would buy another model. It has a plethora of issues and is not quiet in the least. LG support said the error message I am getting on the panel requires the main circuit board to be replaced. It was likely damaged when it was delivered. I am waiting for LG to send a repair technician to the house to repair this unit or provide some recourse for this A/C. The company I bought from here on Amazon, also made the sale and charged a horrendous expedited delivery fee (which they refunded after I complained), knowing full well they could not meet the timeline for delivery. It is/was a sad experience all the way around.

Overpriced fan- Don't buy! SO very disappointing. It has a strong fan when it is on the high setting and isn't terribly loud. There was some grease that dripped from underneath the fan when I first set it up. What's that about? There is little difference between when the "air conditioner" is set on fan vs. when it is set on cool. I can hear the slight change in the motor when I turn it to cool. It just doesn't actually get very cool. This is not my first portable air conditioner. It is replacing my oldest one that died last year. The other old one that has been discontinued is loud and slow to cool. But at least it still does cool. This one doesn't.
