Wonderful lights! Each light is equal to about 110 Watt light bulb. Image 1: We have a game/home theater room roughly 18' x 14', where I mapped it out using Microsoft Visio. In the image, I've included the link I used to help calculate the lighting, given my room size. Images 2-7: The original room only had a ceiling fan with 4x 30W lights, which made it difficult to read or play games. Images 8 & 9: We wanted a bright room when playing games, reading, working out, etc. Therefore, we were hoping that six lights would be enough, but just in case we needed eight, we bought the 12-pack. Also, we weren't sure what color we wanted, so we bought the 3CCT. The 2700K through 3500K just looked brown and dull, and the 4000K had a nice white and bright look. Ultimately, we decided to keep the 5000K, as we bought a dimmer (not yet installed). Pros: 1) If you have wired something before, installing it was simple enough. We use a 6.1" BI-Metal Wood Hole Saw (see below for more info). 2) We love how bright our room is now - it is a joy to use. I've been so impressed with Ensenior Lights (and the cost) that I am considering installing their Shop lights in my "wood-working" garage. Cons: The projector screen gets washed out when the lights are on. However, we expect the dimmer will help with this, including making the room cozy for our date nights. ;) Do different: If we were going to do it again, we would have just gotten the 5000K version and saved ourselves a few bucks. We like having extra on hand because it will be easier to replace when one dies. Also, I might put one in our master bedroom reading corner - since that light is just a simple 60w bulb. Notes: I am not affiliated with anyone, but here is what we used if you are interested. 1) I bought the LC LICTOP 6.1" BI-Metal Wood Hole Saw (link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LGKR22L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1). However, my 2 Dewalt cordless power drills couldn't do the job. So, I had to use my 30-year-old corded 1/2" power drill, which did the job just fine. I'm glad I've never thrown it out. Also, expect a LOT of dust!! After drilling the first hole, we covered our speakers, electronics, and couch. 2) My wife and I love our home theater screen! Customer Service Rocks! I recently installed drop ceiling tile covers in our basement to replace/hide those old chalky ones and also replaced old can ceiling lighting which used a big metal housing above the tile. These lights are lightweight, the wiring is easy to connect into the junction box provided and it's literally plug and play. When connecting the wires to the adapter inside the junction box, turning the adapter clockwise while pushing the wire inside makes it very easy. It's in the directions but I didn't read them so it ook me a few times to figure out why the connections weren't holding. To remove the wire, you can't just pull out. You turn counterclockwise while pulling the wire out. Quite simple actually. There is a circle template provide to make exact cuts in the ceiling for the light to fit securely. In my case, to cut holes in the drop ceiling tiles, I bought a Goldblatt G05141 drywall circle cutter and set it to match the dimensions of the circle template. Easy peezy. For every tile covered, I put the old chalky tile on top. For the ones with a light, the chalky board rests on top as well but I didn't attach the light fixture to the chalky board and instead attached to the tile cover itself. The cover is thin plastic so when attached to the old board, the light would press up causing an indention in the plastic tile. The fixtures are light enough to where I attached them to the plastic tile itself using a piece of regalar cardboard for the fixture springs and it doesn't droop. For the junction box, I just placed that on top of the old tile. Hope that made sense. Some reviewers said the lights didn't dim enough. I bought a Lutron DVCL-153P-GR LED+ dimmer switch with a Lutron Claro cover. I don't know if the switch is on the compatibility list or not but there is no buzzing etc. It works great. Inside the switch, there is a dimming adjust "knob". In some rooms, I moved it to the lowest setting and it's very dim with the slider moved to the bottom and bright enough with the slide moved all the way up. For example, when I start my day in the home office, I turn on the lights at very dim and then gradually slide up during the day. For other rooms, I start out at the brightest setting. It's a very nice feature on that switch. For color of light. I'm glad I chose at least 3 options (3/4/5K). I chose to use 4K which I think is a nuetral light. 5K was a bit too harsh and 3K a bit to yellow for my taste. I think if I purchased the fixture with more options, I'd have a hard time making a decision. Lol. The cool thing is that you can easily change the color temp at any time. Example: I'm not sold on the neutral light in a bathroom so I may move the switch to 3K. The lights are more than bright enough and cover a good amount of area. For Customer Service. I cannot say enough kind things about them. One of my lights was missing a spring. The lights come with 2 springs attached to the light. In most cases, especially mine, you need both springs to securely attach the lights to a ceiling. I emailed support, they responded very, very fast. I explained my situation and they sent me out a replacement fixtuee immediately. I don't often get fast responses or resolution from many companies unfortunately. I recently bought an additional 4 pack of these same lights to finish up another room. No issues, they work great just like all the others. It's amazing how much easier these are to install vs those big metal can light fixtures. Hope this review helps others.
great Product but even better customer service. bought a 12 pack of lights, had an issue with just one. call the manufacture and not only did they respond quickly they went above and beyond with customer service. non of that BS of "send us a video first" they addressed the issue, provided a solution, and then requested i send back the bad light. EVEN offered to reimburse me for shipping. This is how on line shopping should be. Going to be adding more lights to other rooms. both the 4 inch and 6 inch light are easy to install and look great. absolutely no issues with the amount of light, no flickering, dimmable, just a great light for a great cost. Amazing customer service! Edit: This company gives incredible customer service! If you did a lot of research like I did trying to figure out the best light to go with, I would stop the search and go with them! The product is extremely high quality and their customer service after I mentioned a complaint. That was really my fault was better than I could have imagined and then I have received an as long as I can remember. To take care of the issue. The bottom line is all the companies do the same thing and I was frustrated in the moment because I failed electrical inspection as seen below. But the fact of the matter is it was my fault. Now could they have put a warning label on the box inside the box when you buy it or something? Absolutely! Yes, I'll companies probably should but they're always improvements like that, that can be recommended. Again, any company that has that incredible of customer service is a really good company in my mind. And I got to imagine their product is going to hold up well through the years based on that alone. Original: I will take full responsibility as I knew you couldn't have Romex wire touching through a metal hole but I was in a bit of a hurry and when I had that thought for just a second I thought well, no way they wouldn't have included that unless it was okay. So the one thing I was disappointed about is it didn't include them in the box or at least have warning signs all over to say the gasket not included and will be needed to pass code. I would guess that's a code all over the country.
Fantastic lights and great customer service. We bought these lights to change out about 65 of our existing 4 inch canned lights and what a change. I had an electrician do it because of the number of lights that were going in and also that he had to cut the existing holes larger to accommodate the 6 inch lights (we have 12 foot high ceilings). His time was mostly spent in climbing up the ladder and cutting the holes. Putting in the lights were a breeze for him. It is wonderful the amount of light this one puts out and you can control the color temperature as well. We went with the 4000k option and could not be happier. Plus it works wonderfully with the dimmers that we got from Costco. You can get them at Costco and for about 10 bucks each. You do not need the expensive ones from Lutron or the other ones recommended. We had 3 units which were dead out of the 60 some lights that we ordered and customer service was wonderful and immediately sent out replacements. Did not impact the project at all! Highly recommended.
Very Impressed With These Lights! I was looking for some very lightweight recessed lighting to install during a drop-ceiling remodel and was very glad that I came across these beauties on Amazon. I was somewhat concerned about quality since they were so inexpensive, but my fears were quickly allayed when I unboxed them. The lights and electrical boxes were very well packaged. The connection boxes come with push connectors already installed on the three leads, making installation super easy. In fact, after I received them, I wired one of the lights up to an old power cord, just to see how much light they put out. The housing and spring clips on the lights appear to be very well made. Because they do put out so much light, I ended up only needing to install 6 of them in the 12'x17' dining room that I was working on... and the impression that I get from people when I first turn the lights on is "Wow!". I can't speak to the longevity as I just installed them, but so far I am very impressed with packaging, quality of the lights and connection boxes, ease of installation, appearance and light output.

5000k option has a green tent to it. 5000k option has a green tent to it. SAD.... I had to use 4000k option because of this. We remodeled our bathroom with white tile, white cabinet, and white countertop. A very clean look.... But these recessed lights gave a green hue on everything when the 5000K option was used. 4000K option creates a slight yellowish but mostly White. And obviously the 3000k gives a soft white warm feeling. ((But)) if you're going for a 5000k pure white look these recessed lights will give you a greenish tent
Easy to install, clean, Bright and NO SWEARING. Dimming is an issue. I really wanted to LOVE this product. Instead I just like it. I was able to replace old incandescent bulbs easily. I liked the connectors that you attach the wires to making it easy to daisy chain them. The lights are bright and with this model the warmth of the light is adjustable. After installing several without any complications or reasons to cuss, I installed a dimmer from the (apparently outdated) approved list. There was no audible noise and the light did dim, but it only went down to 25-30% not 5-10% as indicated by product info. Since the lights were in an area we use to watch movies, I wanted it to be nearly dark. I researched "Reverse Phase" dimmer switches (which are good for new LED technology and more energy efficient) but the price of one of them at amazon was almost as much as the 12 piece product. Googling the switch lowered the price to about $80 but if you want to have two switches....Overall, feel encouraged to buy this product if you do not need it to dim below 30%. I will probably look elsewhere to find a more dimmable product.
Doesn't last. Installed these lights in June 2020. They work great and love the color. Fast forward to November 2022 and 5 of the lights quit working. The power supply boxes go bad. First one failed after 6 months. Then another one a couple months later and so on. We bought extras and it's always a different one that fails next.
Most work great. We bought and installed these two years ago, but one now isn't working. There's something wrong with the box, as we can plug in another light and it works fine. We've tried everything, but nothing is working. We really love the product otherwise and loved how easy they were to install. I was just hoping they would last longer than 2 years.
Blinking lights after 1yr...now I need another box. I was super pleased at first. Unfortunately I started seeing flickering lights after only 6 months, for me I had to replace just the light and not the box which I was thankful for, but now I need another box of lights to start replacing more previously installed lights that are flickering. I've had to replace 3 lights in my garage that start with a little flicker, and then go to a fierce on/off blinking strobe when left flickering for too long. I like the product I just don't want to re-design my garage again, so I will try a new box and start the replacement process. I do not use a dimmer either for those wondering.
Two of the Six that I installed have failed after eighteen months light duty. These were easy to install with the correct size hole saw. Wiring was simple using Wago wire connectors. Nice bright white color. However, only three stars because two of the six that I installed 18 months ago have already failed. They fail with a dim flicker. In my 10 foot ceilings it is a pain to have to replace them so soon. They have been used in a bathroom and only used a few hours a day.
