Pros & Cons

Pros

Works like a charm! The Product: I run 27 miles a week every week with no rest days. After doing this for 2 years, the soreness in the bottom of my feet has become a challenge. Despite investing in different running shoes and insoles, running daily on concrete takes its toll, so I decided to give this massager a try. After using it the first night (I ran it for 3 cycles of 15 min each), I woke up the next day with zero pain in my feet. Of course the soreness comes back after each run, but I have been using it each night for 45 min for a foot massage and 30 min for a calves massage, it is definitely making a big difference. I read reviews about it being too heavy, it’s not, it’s 20lbs. Some reviews said it got too hot or not hot enough, I think it’s just the right amount of warmth to relax the knots and make the massage enjoyable. I also saw reviews saying it massages your feet so hard that it’s painful. Also not true in my experience as it has 5 modes and 5 strength levels: I fine level 3 to be ideal, but if you don’t like deep tissue massages, level 1 is totally not painful. Customer service: the massager arrived on time and while it had some small paint scrapes, it didn’t appear it was refurbished, possible sustained the minor wear during storage. It worked perfectly and the only issue was the zipper handle was broken. I emailed the vendor with a photo of the zipper and they responded within 30 min. They offered me 3 options: a full refund with a return, a replacement with a return or a 20% refund if I was willing to live with the small defect. I tested the zipper and it worked, I just used a small wire as the zipper handle, so I took option 3. Again I received a response within 30 min and the 20% refund within 48 hours. This product absolutely does what it says it does and I can feel the difference in terms of reduced pain when I run and after recovery each night! Comes with 1 year warranty but purchased the 2 year warranty just in case. If this massager lasts 2 year, I will certainly be happy and likely buy another one.

Meet Helga with a grip from hell. I have many foot massagers over the years because I’m diabetic with extreme neuropathy so I couldn’t wait to try this one and pick it apart for everything that’s wrong with it because I do know my foot massagers. After using it for one week I asked her to marry me. this massager couldn’t be any better! that I can think of, it’s stronger than any masseuse I’ve ever been to it it does have memory now and it does come with a remote still have not been able to use the strongest setting which is a good thing. Is it worth the money definitely does it work definitely you will not be dissatisfied

Get ready for ride! So I'm super tall and have size 15 feet. I've had really bad low arch issues and my left heal is dipping etc. Have shoe supports i need THEN I got this sucker. It is not for the faint of heart, it will massage your feet like it wants to take them from you. Do not be alarmed, your feet are just scared but will thank you later. Have you had a pedicure? They didn't do it this hard. First time when the cushions caught my feet and I lifted it in the air, startling my husband, cat and dog. Fast forward a couple weeks if you can spend the dough I would get this one.

Probably the best hands free foot massager. While a manual massage gun may be better for targeted needs (I have a Hypervolt pro), this unit is the best hands free foot massager I have tried. After a Trimalleolar break with full dislocation and two surgeries, I need this every day in order to be able to walk. I tend to set all the options to max and let it run a full cycle before it auto turns off (about 15 minutes?). I wish the angling were a bit easier to set up, but as I use this on feet rather than calves, it works for me. My husband finds it useless because due to his high instep the rollers don’t even reach his arches on the medial side of his feet but they painfully bruise the outside. Too bad the roller angle isn’t adjustable. So if you have high arches, you may not be as satisfied. I couldn’t live without this.

The warranty. I purchased the Cloud Massage almost a year ago for my wife, who deals with almost constant foot pain. She has used this thing almost daily, and often multiple times a day. (And believe me, I moved up several notches on the “Totum Pole” by gifting her with this) But what I really wanted to share about my purchase experience was this: Just a couple of weeks ago part of the machine stopped working. I contacted Cloud Massage about the problem, explaining that the rollers for the bottoms of the feet had stopped moving. Their response was immediate. I sent them the requested original order information, and they immediately replaced the machine. All correspondence was prompt and courteous. Business integrity is something that a lot of other companies could definitely learn from Cloud Massage! (And, I’m pretty confident that I will, again, move up a notch or two on that “totem pole” when my wife gets home this evening!)

OMG, what a wonderful machine. I bought this with an open minded person who has some numbing in my feet as I am a diabetic II patient. This machine massaged my feet in such a hard and accurate way that the numbness resided and gave so much circulation back into my feet. I just do not know what the medical field does not proscribe this massage therapy to all to help with the circulation. It is so wonderful to use. I will be using this every day!

Cons

Has some cons that I'd wish I'd known before purchase. Not worth the money. We purchased this foot massager based mostly upon the reviews on amazon, as well as outside sites that had recommended this as one of the best available. I would disagree. While it is a decent machine, it's developers missed the boat on making this an exceptional/best of the best possibility. Here is what I noticed: ** It has no remote control on this model. To some, this is no big deal but for those that have a bit harder time moving around after getting in a comfortable position, (i.e laying), it's an up-down every 15 minutes, to hit the power to run another cycle. Having a full remote (with options same as the panel) would be a huge improvement. **15 minutes. That's it. Times up. Really? I'd like more options (10, 15, 20, 25, whoa 30? Yeah. Why not?) **You have to RESET the settings EVERY time you run a new cycle. 15min is up and DING! Sit up, manually reset all the settings you have already put in before (god forbid you run the cycle more than twice.) It forgets the last programmed settings. To me this should be a no brainer. If I take the time to set it to my preferences, it should remember last. Then if someone else is using it, they can fiddle with it as they wish. However, if Im the only one using it, its one extra irritating step. Not to mention that I dont dare put my feet /legs in until I have powered on and manually reset -- otherwise, it grips the crud out of my feet/legs and is very painful. (Im a no pressure gal -- YIKES!) **There should be a middle squeeze /pressure level at minimum. Again, seemed like a no brainer to me to add something in between " Nope. No squeeze for you, you big baby" to the extreme opposite "High pressure/squeeze until your eyeballs pop out and your toes fall off." But again, I'd sure like a LITTLE pressure-- better yet, a sliding scale of set your own! A novel idea. ** Holy smokes is this thing heavy! Dang. Im no weaky but I didnt realize I'd need a hand truck to move it from room to room, on/off the bed, out to the chair under my desk. Hey, why not add a couple wheels on it? Too much? I don't know, but wow. I need a back massager after moving this foot massager. EEK. **Heat is either off or on.. no other choices. I understand liability and they may be afraid to put too much heat for fear of a burn, but if they are ok with adding pressure that could kill a small animal, I think a few extra degrees for options would be nice. No heat. Warm, ahh thats nice. Really warm, oh now thats relaxing!, Hot. Yep, can feel that in depth. Im ok with this today, maybe not tomorrow. Hell-Fire-Damnation, somebody call the fire department my feet are fire. You get the drift. **Vibration--on or off. Seeing a pattern here, dont you? Yes, I'd like to be able to have minimal (a sweet ippity-tap), medium (some gentle Karate chops, HiYah!), to a high (is that an earthquake??) Or again.... give me a sliding knob for a specific adjustments. Just a thought. **For the HIGH COST of this thing, (to me anyway. Need to mortgage my house now), I'd expect the designers to have thought of even the most basic of things above. At minimum a remote with a remember me setting. My fiance likes it pretty well, and even though he's a pretty strong dude, he gripes when he has to move it as well. He's nice enough to move it for me sometimes, otherwise I'm on my own. Personally, I think there is something out there that would have given me more customization for the cost. But that's just me.

It could be better in a few ways. Lets go over the features first: - Heat: It's very gentle which is fine with me - Side to side massage: works pretty well - Bottom foot massage: I have size 12 feet and it feels my feet are a little long for this to be entirely effective. Even at it's least intense level it doesn't have a gentle feel to it. - Heel massage (vibration): nearly worthless As far as ankles, the side to side massage is nice but forget the shiatsu part of it. It just felt weird and awkward. Not comfortable at all. For how expensive this thing is I don't feel as it was a good value.

Okay... A lot of great reviews out there. Personally, I'm not too impressed. The actual massaging is OK. But like others have said, the settings get reset every time it turns off after 15 minutes. So I have to get down under my desk to hit 5 buttons to set it back up every 15 minutes.. I actually haven't tried the remote yet but I would imagine you still have to set it all up just don't have to climb under the desk. The other thing is, about the massaging, others have said it is too forceful but I think it's actually fine at max setting. The only problem is, I ran it several times back to back, as I tend to do while sitting in front of my computer, and it felt good, but then when I got up to walk I noticed I had this swelling on my feet in the same place on each foot, and it's pretty uncomfortable to walk on it. The other thing is since my toes are not encased in the massager as I'm used to on my last one, my toes tend to get pretty cold, which is the main reason I got one of these things originally. I will probably be sending this back. I'm happy it worked out for others.

Heavy and lacking in features. This product was recommended to me for my foot pain. I should have done my own research because for the price I feel there are much better options out there. The compression feature feels amazing if you enjoy that deep squeezing feeling and it is great that it can be used for the foot and for the calf. For me the shiatsu massage component didn't seem to line up right and was mostly just grinding away at the middle/back of my heel instead of the arch and because it is designed with a heel pad to keep your foot where they think it should be I couldn't just move my foot around to get the massage rollers under the parts of my foot that I would want . Evenly spaced massage rollers to cover the entire foot area would have been better. It doesn't have to many options of massage patterns/combinations but it does have a good range of strengths for the compression feature. Also there is no remote control so you have to reach down to your feet to push the buttons on the machine. It is nice that it is adjustable and can be used at almost every angle such as sitting upright leaning back even laying down. However it is quite bulky and heavy to move around and has a very short cord. All in all it is a great machine and gives a very good massage, but I do feel that you can find something similar or probably even better for a better price.

Good machine, but burned me so badly I'm blistering. Just got this today and yup I can confirm it's good for foot massages, no question ... ... but OH MY GOD it burned the skin on my calves BADLY, on my very first use. Sitting here with both legs on a mound of ice packs as I write this, and it hurts a LOT. Blisters, dark angry red skin, the works. This seems really negligent to me. There is no warning about burns anywhere that I can see in the instructions or on the website. The instructions that came in the box did mention (once) to 'pop on your favorite pair of socks' before putting your feet in; but they don't say WHY you should do this, or give any warning anywhere I can see that this isn't just a 'friendly suggestion', it's actually MANDATORY unless you want to burn your skin so badly that it's blistering after a single cycle ... and they definitely don't warn you to wear FULL LENGTH PANTS (not shorts, which is what I was wearing) if you're gonna do your calves. Luckily, my feet are okay, because I did have socks on. Please be VERY careful (burned feet would be even worse than burned legs) - I didn't even notice the heat during the massage and now it's too late. I'm giving this three stars because it's a good massage machine - I would have given it five, if it hadn't blistered both calves so badly that I doubt I'll be able to wear full-length pants for a week.

Not what I was hoping for but can be soothing. I got this due to the number of high reviews. I don't use it nearly as much as I thought I would. The manual suggests wearing socks. Definitely wear socks! The rollers are super intense on bare feet. It takes awhile to get used to the various settings and find what works for you. Some people have asked about using it on their calves. Only if you have thin calves. Mine are large and do not fit in the slots, which is a huge disappointment as I really needed something to massage and help with circulation in the calf area. It is heavy and will last a long time. Overall, if I were making the choice to purchase again, I wouldn't. It's just not working for me like I'd hoped.
