This stuff works! First off, let me say that I am not a medical professional--just a retired public school teacher. Anyway I go to my family doctor about every six months as I have high bllod pressure and diabetes. Awhile ago he seemed concerned about something called "liver function". Doing research about "liver function" online I discovered that something called silymarin would help my liver clean things out of my body. Since I'm a die hard Amazon shopper I looked it up and discovered this product and ordered some. At my next Dr's visit he was amazed that my "liver function" was so much better. Since taking this milk thistle was the only thing that changed (besides my age) this product seems to be doing what it is advertised to do.
Took away my liver pain! This works very well for me. The first night that I took it, I felt a crackling in my sinuses from candida being broken up or something. It was a weird sensation. So I noticed that for the most part it keeps candida under check, It helps keep my blood sugar normal. It has stopped the pain I was having in my liver. It has reduced my acid reflux. I only have to take a Nexium about once every other week now. I take this twice a day most of the time. I tried taking a few days break, and symptoms came back. I began to feel unwell again. I know I will need to do more for my digestive and liver health, but for now this helps keep things under control. A lot of times, taking this heads off headaches too. I just started my son on these to see if his chronic headaches will lessen at all. Oh, forewarning for anyone who hasn't taken Milk Thistle yet, this has a strong sedative affect for a while, until your body gets used to taking it. So best to start out taking it before bed.
Excellent supplement. My liver has never felt better in my whole life. I tend to eat a variety of foods and drink lots of liquids and sometimes my liver cant keep up. This milk thistle helps boost my liver and keeps me feeling very healthy. Ive noticed my acne also cleared up and I even feel younger. The concentrated 30x is a good dosage for my body. I have tried many products but this one is the one I will keep using. I am a true believer in milk thistle after buying this product. I will recommend it to my friends and family.
Cons
Dangerous Product. Do not buy this product. I have included a photo, You will see that most of the capsules are Brown, however 5 of them are White. They were sealed, which means that they were either Tampered with or mixed up on the Assembly line. I will not take them, they are going in the Trash. This is very potentially Dangerous !!!!!! Amazon did refund my money.
Liver enzymes increased. Took this hoping to bring down my liver enzyme levels and not even a week of taking it my levels doubled. 3 weeks after I stopped taking it, my levels decreased to almost ideal by eating organic and healthy food no sugar. Talked to my doctor and he said that this product works for some people but can work opposite with other people. If I knew that beforehand, I wouldn’t have risked taking this.
Be careful is you have allergies. I didn't even think when I purchased these that it might cause me to have an allergic reaction. I am pretty much allergic to all weeds, grass, trees, mold, etc. and after I took this the first day I noticed that I was itching all over my body but didn't make the connection. I forgot to take is a few days and then took it again and I was itching again and I finally realized it was from these pills. I wish they worked for me, now I have a full bottle and missed the return window. If you have allergies I would recommend speaking with your doctor or allergist first. Good luck!
