These are batteries. These are new AA batteries. They will work when used to replace old AA batteries. I like new batteries. I don’t like old batteries. So I purchased these new batteries to replace the old batteries. So far, they still appear to be new batteries. If you are in the market for new batteries, then these are for you.
Famous name. I have not opened the package which has that clear plastic that covers all of the batteries. something did not look right so I counted the batteries over and over again shaking the package to make sure that I saw them all and there is only 27 batteries instead of 28. Duracell should watch their packaging devices. I am sure that they are not out to cheat us, BUT......... Let's see if any one actually reads this.
Great batteries at a great price. I love Duracell batteries. They store for a long time as long as you pay attention to the atmosphere or temperature you store them in. I have had a couple of times where I forgot to take the batteries out of some thing that I stored in the attic and when I got them out, they had exploded and ruined my Christmas decorations. However, this was my fault as it’s extremely hot in my attic. I’ve never had a problem when storing them under 90° weather. They are a much at Christmas time for kids toys. I also use these for all the remotes in my house and they last years. I even depend on them for my fire alarms and again, they last years before needing to be replaced. The label on the pack also says that they have a 10 year shelf-life, which is amazing. They are definitely my go to batteries after trying several different brands.
These Might Be Real. Over the years have run into issues of receiving what I perceive to fake products on Amazon for "commodity products" especially when it comes to batteries. Usually something is off on the packaging or even the name brand batteries arriving in zip lock bags. However, this set seems to be the real deal. So far the ones I've used have lasted at least two months in remote controls and battery computer mouse, plus the expiration date is years away.
Some Questions Answered. There have been some comments and questions raised about the country of manufacture and the expiration date. These batteries were made in Belgium not China. It says so on the battery in English and in Belgian. The batteries I received have an expiration date of March 2031. And as for the notice that appears above about "packaging may vary," these batteries came in the depicted package just as you'd find them at any store. So, buy these and don't worry about authenticity, durability, or flimsy packaging.

3 Month's later and 23 Batteries are Dead. Purchased these batteries 3 months ago and only used 5 of them. Went to replace a battery and it was dead. In fact, all the remaining 23 batteries are DEAD. First time I purchased Duracell batteries on Amazon and I have useless coppertops. What a waste of money. Never again.
They Must Have Been OLD. I ordered two giant packs of these in April. I use them in various pieces of battery operated equipment, but I bought these mainly to use in several brand new sets of LED candles I bought at the same time on Amazon. I began using them, and one by one I was having problems with the candles not working. I thought the candles were bad, and then I began testing the batteries, and it was the batteries that were bad. I replaced them with Energizer batteries, and so far those are working fine. I am not likely to purchase the Duracell batteries again. I have read they are supposed to be the better batteries, but my experience has not borne that out. Not recommended.
Odd purchase. This was definitely an odd purchase. I bought a 28 pack of AA batteries. I received a pack of 27. Not worth it to return or complain to have one battery sent.
Don't Last As Long As I Remember. When I was buying Duracell batteries a few months ago they lasted longer than the ones I recently bought. I don't know if Duracell is intentionally making their batteries not last as long, or what the problem is, but when I was using the batteries before in my electric toothbrush, they would last about a month, but now they last just over two weeks. I have to wonder if Duracell is doing this just to make more money by making their batteries last a shorter amount of time.
NOT Duracell Coppertop AA Batteries with Power Boost. Luckily, my packaging was not destroyed, but you could tell it's "been around the block". But sadly it's not as advertised, "Duracell Coppertop AA Batteries with Power Boost, 28 Count Pack Double A Battery with Long-lasting Power, Alkaline AA Battery" Just regular Duracell, and they expire March 2031, so much for the 10 year warranty on the box, SO nothing about a "GUARANTEED FOR 12 YEARS IN STORAGE"
