Please Note:

  • Syntech hard carrying case is the same size as the official Quest2 case. If you are using a large 3rd party head strap or any other halo strap, we recommend you look for other cases with larger capacity.
  • Hard cases made of EVA material are usually a little smelly at the beginning. But don’t worry, the smell will fade and disappear after being used for some time.

Pros & Cons

Excellent Quest 2 VR Headset Case. When I bought my Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset, I went to look for a nice travel case, but didn't want to pay $50 for the Meta brand case. The Syntech Hard Carrying Case is priced affordably and provides the same functions. You can easily store your headset, two touch controllers, and charging cable and power adapter. I was able to throw in my Syntech Link Cable 16 FT cable and close the zipper. The interior material is soft and the exterior is sturdy. Overall, the case does not feel cheap and is made of quality material. Keep in mind, you won't be able to use this case if you are using third party head straps, but works perfectly fine with the Oculus Quest 2 Elite Strap.

Top quality, I'd take this ANYWHERE. Wow, this thing is really nice! It looks almost identical to the official Oculus case, but IMO, it's even nicer because it's a good value too. Waterproof case AND zipper makes this one you can take outdoors and not be worried about a rainstorm ruining your headset. (Though seriously, just come inside already). I was able to get this for much less than the competitor and think this is the case I need. One caveat: I had difficulty fitting my controllers in there at first, but they have extra hand straps on them which caused the fit to be a bit too tight. Removing the hand straps solved the problem and I just store them in the very large cord storage bin. I don't write many reviews, but this case has impressed me so much that I felt a 5 star review was warranted.

Quality Case. The hardshell case does exactly what it was designed to do. The materials feel nice; the larger, rubberized zippers are a good touch. The case fits the Quest 2 with the spacer in for glasses just fine. You have to put the headset in at an angle, I think the design is meant to kind of wedge it in and keep it snug so it doesn't move too much. I was overthinking how the remotes are supposed to go in. The picture on the paper band didn't really help, it just goes in, there isn't a correct way to put them in, as long as it fits within the area its okay. One feedback for the design team is that the area in front of the headset meant to house cords and whatnot isn't completely separated. ie if you put batteries in there like I did, as soon as you hold it upright it'll fall to the other side, which in my case isn't a huge deal since I don't intend on carrying it anywhere. A flap with velcro or something similar to get the contents of that compartment to stay put would be even better.

Call me Happy! Great case at a much lower price. I got this case on Prime Day after returning a different case that would not accommodate my elite headband as promised. This case looks very much like the official case and seems to be just as sturdy as the official case. However, the inside is more "forgiving" than the official case. It has a similar shape that cradles your gear and provides storage for a few accessories (handsets, charging cable, sweat covers) but the central components are made of a foam/felt material. The foam gives enough to accommodate the slightly different shape of my headband (also not official but very good) but provides the support necessary to keep things secure. I would definitely recommend if you don't want to pay $50 for the official case.

Great Storage/Travel Case. Had no place to really store my Oculus Quest 2. It just sat in a drawer and got knocked around. Saw this case and figured I’d try it. Works great! It has a sturdy outer casing and soft interior. Fits the headset, controllers, charging block and cable and has a little extra room for some smaller items (maybe another cable, dust cloth). This case works great for general storage or travel.

Why would you pay $50 for the name brand when this is literally better? This case is a no brainer! At first I was hesitant because at the time it only had 3 reviews. But I took the dive and bought it and wow! It’s sturdy, has plenty of room for my elite battery strap, and the pocket can fit my microfiber cloths, charger, adapter and 2 spare batteries. The shape of the case is almost identical to the oculus branded case, which is subjective but I love the pill shape. Sturdy zippers, which create a surprisingly nice seal for water resistance. Trust me, go with this case, you’ll have a better product and more money in your wallet

Crammed. Barely fits the headset with the KIWI head strap and silicone covers. I wish it was a tad bigger so that it's not crammed inside the case.

It’s Huge. Case is very sturdy and the oculus fits in it perfectly. The issue is this thing is huge!! There’s really more room in the case than you actually need.

Some assembly required :/. I was disappointed when my case arrived and the center circular foam piece that holds the controllers was completely seperated due to cheap gluing. I used some super glue and it is holding together but I wasn't expecting to have to do that. Otherwise, it is a nice case, maybe an isolated incident.

Doesnt fit. Headset will not fit without smashing the padding, does not fit my 3rd party strap as described or the controllers with silicon skin added with extended grip. It does look very nice and seems to be of good quality just dont expect it to work with accessories attached or the included glasses spacer, if you dont mind it possibly deforming face padding then go for it but expect to cram it in.

Does not fit. Don’t be fooled! The case does not fit a Quest 2.
