Pros & Cons

Pros

So far so good. I had been looking for a solution to keep me cool, less sweaty, and to keep my lenses from fogging up while playing on my Oculus. This interface seems to help out with those things. Pros: * The interface is really comfortable. The material is very cushy and feels soft against my face. * The fan blows air into the headset rather than sucking it out (Like the BOBOVR F2 attachment). This circulates the air more and keeps my face cool without drying out my eyes. * The battery seems to last awhile and hasn’t died on me while playing yet. * The interface locks into the Quest 2 very securely and doesn’t budge (unlike the original Oculus interface). * The material seems to absorbe sweat very well. Cons: * The cooling effect from the fan isn’t quite as effective as I hoped. The fan just doesn’t blow hard enough and there isn’t a speed setting for a higher input of air. If you play high exercise games like Beat Saber, it will start to get hot and stuffy even with the fan. The fan does seem to keep my lenses from fogging though. * The material on the padding seems to insulate heat rather than dissipate it. * The interface isn’t easy to clean and isn’t very hygienic. I tried to put my silicone cover from my stock interface over this one, but this one is so much bigger and it won’t fit. There needs to be a silicone cover to go with this so it’s easy to wipe down in between uses. Also, I wear makeup and this thing stains like crazy. * The rubber flaps that go over the nose aren’t sturdy and will irritate my nose because they move. It also just doesn’t hold the headset up well enough. * The interface is very bulky and adds a lot of weight to the head. You also have to put the headstrap through this interface (instead of through the Quest 2), and because it’s higher than the location of the Quest 2 hole, it leaves excess strap that doesn’t go back enough to sit firmly on the head. All in all, as this is the only option on the market for an attachment that blows air into the headset, I would recommend it for those who have trouble with the lens fogging on the Quest 2. I don’t sweat quite as much with this interface (maybe due to the absorbent material or the circulated air) and my eyes don’t hurt from having a lack of oxygen like the stock interface does to me. It needs a lot of improvements like: multiple fan speed settings rather than interval settings and a higher powered fan, a hygienic silicone cover, and maybe gel or some heat dissipating material instead of the bulky foam that traps heat. If they were to improve those things, this interface could go viral and everyone would get one.

Better than expected! I was skeptical about ordering this since there were no reviews yet when I ordered it. I couldn’t find much information about it online either, which made me more leery about ordering it. Having said that, I’m glad I did. It’s very comfortable to wear and keeps any light from peeking in around the nose. The fan works great too. It’s a gentle breeze on your forehead and quiet enough to not be distracting. It also keeps my lenses from fogging up when I play Thrill of the Fight. I highly recommend this!

More Comfort Than Most Interfaces. I told myself that if the KKCOBVR mask had a leather padding option that I would buy it and I'm happy with the purchase. I have a VRCover fitness too and I find the KKCOBVR Interface more comfortable for longer sessions. Primarily due to an extended area of facial padding. It's taller so padding covers more of my forehead. The padding is firm so it keeps my face away from plastic. VrCover's facial padding is softer and initially feels more comfortable, but after wearing for extended time, I would start to feel the interface's plastic protruding a bit into my forehead. This does not happen at all with the KKCOBVR mask. The fan is a nice feature and works well. I wear contacts so having the fan blow on my face constantly dries my eyes. The intermittent 5 second on/off setting works for me without drying my eyes. Its easy to turn the fan on and off as needed if that helps someone with drier eyes. It compliments my Kiwi Design Elite strap. However, I do have a portable charger attached to my Kiwi which creates good counter balance.

Immediately noticeable improvement. Install was fairly quick and the fit is very secure. As soon as I put it on, I noticed the improvement over the original facial interface. It’s both more comfortable and makes it easier to find and maintain a clear viewing angle—the headset seems to stay more firmly in place on your face, with less wobbling when you turn your head. However, the pressure on the face is also more distributed, and the higher attach point for the strap actually seems to take some of the pressure off my forehead. I don’t know how much of a difference the fan makes (maybe if you’re exercising), but the added noise isn’t really noticeable, and it seems to blend in with the noise level of the headset itself. Only one downside, which is that it won’t fit into the sleek OEM pill case. Fairly obvious, I know, but worth noting if that’s how you normally store/transport your headset.

Not for glasses. UPDATE: the seller reached out and sent me a replacement to use with the glasses spacer. It makes a big difference. My glasses were no longer right up against the lenses. I put the fan through a good 1 hour session to test fog buildup with the fan on. It faired pretty well. I'd give it a 9/10 for keeping fog off lenses during intense VR workouts..the glasses spacer seems to have helped keep a better seal around the face. I would reach out to the seller to make sure you receive one with the glasses spacer option if you wear glasses in VR. ORIGINAL: I have the first fan setup that came out for the Quest 2 about a year ago as I needed a fix for fogging during exercise in VR. That fan worked pretty well and fit nice with my glasses as it had a spacer. It worked very well keeping fog at bay. I thought I'd give this a try because it looked even more comfortable on the face and looked like maybe it would move more air and prevent more fogging. It does not prevent fogging anymore that the other. I'd say this does a worse job at keeping fog away, it does prevent fog but after about 20 minutes into an intense workout, fog starts creeping in slowly and doesn't dissipate. This is a tad more comfortable on the face but it will likely not do for anyone who wears glasses. After three tries to get a good fit, I went back to the original fan. This fan system pushes my glasses right up against the lenses. If you do try with glasses, make sure you have some sort of lens protection. Otherwise, try a different brand.

Comfortable / nice fit to Meta Quest 2. I have tried many different ones and have been trading off between a couple. This one fits nice . It’s so much more comfortable I don’t care if the fan works lol If fan stops I’m keeping this on because it fits nicer than the stock face plate. I always hated how the nose piece fit on original it would just pop out easy but when on face held it fine but uncomfortable. This snapped in nice and snug. Fan does work, it’s not a powerful fan but you can definitely feel it . It does serve the anti lens fogging part. But back to fit and comfort, I have the oculus battery head strap it never felt balanced. Now I can play more than 20 min and my neck doesn’t feel like something pulled it down the whole time playing. My opinion is i don’t see anyone not feeling this as a upgrade. I’m a adult normal size head, Bald by choice lol… gets hot here I have only used this with fan on for a little while so I can’t speak of durability. So far lenses don’t fog . I haven’t run it out of battery. I honestly wouldn’t return it if fan stopped .It is worth it to me for the extra enjoyment of extended play time without discomfort. I’m happy with this purchase and recommend for comfort. Take Care everyone

Cons

An honest review. If you’re hot natured and a sweater like me I was really looking for something to help with the facial sweating inside the Quest 2 unit. After 45 minutes to an hour I have to stop playing and dry my face, dry the inside of the unit and lens. I looked at all the fans available, read everyone’s questions and the reviews before buying this one. It’s definitely not the cheapest and most of the reviews are positive but are they totally honest. Well it cost me $50 bucks to realize that the fan may be more of a novelty than the cure I was hoping for. Maybe my expectations were to high! So here are the pro’s and con’s I feel are realistic, but remember this is my opinion. Pro’s: 1) it works. 2) it blows air. 3) it helps with the lens fogging up a little bit. 4) it looks kinda cool. Con’s: 1) price is way to high for what it is. 2) fan is noisy. 3) poor fitment to the head unit which allows light in around the bottom. 4) it doesn’t fit well if you wear glasses. 4) battery run time is a little more than an hour fully charged. Basically it does help some, but if you are a sweater nothing is going to keep you cool. I am going to keep using it because some air circulation is better than none but I will continue to take a timeout to dry off! I hope this helps you make an informed decision! Take care-keep gaming!

Very comfortable but also distractingly noisy. Edit 7/19: After using this for a few days, I'm wondering if mine has a fault, as the internal fan has started whining loudly when I move my head even slightly. Shouldn't this thing be able to keep running smoothly when moving?? After all, it's in a VR headset, not a stationary fan! I've dropped it to two stars because I think it might be faulty on arrival, but the comfort is still very good. I'll probably contact the manufacturer. Will revise if I figure out how to fix this, as I can't really keep it on because of the concerning whine while it runs. Original review: I just received these and immediately installed them, which took a moment as they didn't want to snap in for a bit. After I got it in place, I put the Quest on. Slight caveat for glasses users like myself: if your glasses are too large, they will not fit and you risk scratching both lenses. Mine barely squeeze inside with a bit of effort, and I'm a bit worried about pressure on the glasses' frames over time. I also fortunately have some rubber protective lens rings on the Quest. After turning the fan on (which was surprisingly fully charged), I immediately noticed it is rather noisy, audible at over 75% volume (four bars remaining on the meter). That's a bit disappointing. I started up Blade and Sorcery and could clearly hear it in the background (without headphones). However, after a while it became somewhat quieter, reducing to a low hum, so maybe it's just loud on start-up? A definite plus is the comfort, though. The pleather face pad is very soft and squishy, and when properly positioned, it blocks out light completely, save for perhaps a tiny sliver by your nose. I could see myself wearing the headset for several hours without fatigue now. Overall, I'm pleased with this. It's comfortable to wear and definitely an upgrade over the stock facial pad. The fan seems to keep my glasses free of fog for the little time I've currently tested it. On the other hand, the fan is somewhat distracting in its noise level and there doesn't seem to be a way to manually adjust the fan speed to make it quieter. Maybe add that in version 2? Pretty good purchase.

Increased cooling, reduced comfort. I haven't done a full workout in this yet so can't say how it compares to a floor fan and passive-vented gasket, but it does certainly move some air through - enough that the lenses shouldn't fog up. However, the new position of the strap changes the direction of force for holding this on your head - and I find it a LOT less comfortable. I assumed it would be more comfortable from the looks of it, but it actually gives me a headache. I think for long play sessions I would need to swap this out for my VR Cover gasket instead. You can not run the fan and charge your headset at the same time. I think I would have preferred a no-battery pass-through solution instead.

It was GREAT!!! While it lasted…. This item worked amazingly at keeping my face cooler with a nice breeze for about an hour. It just gets real hot after it turns off. Well it’s now 3 weeks past the return window and the device will not respond to any charging means so it’s a goner. I could tell each day it was lasting a little less and getting a little weaker so I can’t say I didn’t see that possibly happening. Ohh well lesson learned.

Very loud even with noise cancelling headphones. Also makes even more noise when moving your head. Assumed my unit was defective due to the crazy loud fan but according to others, it's normal. Tried wearing noise-canceling headphones which normally put me in a void, still heard/felt this thing buzzing like crazy Also when moving your head it sounds like the fan is grinding on something. For my head size and positioning the fan was blowing directly into my eyes as well. Going to go with the Bobo fan setup

I would give it 5/5 But.... The face cover does have some cooling properties and it keeps me considerable cooler then without it the problem I’m having is that the air flow is very centralized on the center of the forehead just blows on one spot on lengthy sessions I found myself turning it off to warm up my forehead it gets pretty uncomfortable if I could alter the design in anyway I would add a couple more sections to let air flow around the whole area adding variable speed to the continuous fan mode would be a great addition
