Pros
This thing is perfect. I got a halo strap for my quest and never felt so good about taking it places. Now I go every place with it. This was a great buy perfect fit and great build. My only complaint is the strap to hold the case with could have been better
great carrying case. I am something of a neat-freak, and this case is great for putting all my VR-related stuff into a single, compact package. It has a hardish shell so it does provide some protection for the headset and other items in the case. The one thing I would like to see is some sort of legs on the side opposite the handle so that it would easily stand up with the handle on top. As it is, the slight curvature on the bottom of the case makes it difficult for me to get it to stand with the handle on top.
Keeps my investment secure. The only thing I don’t like about it is you have to take your controller grips off or the won’t fit. In my opinion anyone that has invested in a better head strap has also most likely opted for controller grips. But that’s a minor annoyance that being said. Perfect fit and there’s enough room in the lid pouch for the grips. Solid design and holds my expensive “toy” secure.
Great case for upgraded Quest headgear. I had bought a different set of cases for my wife and I and I was happy with the smaller cases. But them I upgraded my headgear to something more comfortable with a battery pack, and then my goggles didn't fit in the case anymore. This case was the perfect upgrade for us. My two complaints are: * The sculpted area for the controllers doesn't fit very well. Everything else about this case is so well thought out, but not the compartment for the controllers. * Secondly, there's a spot for VR earbuds and two little metal contacts, but there's no explanation for how these work. We don't have the earbuds though, so that's kind of a wasted space for us anyway.
Fits my entire Quest 2 VR kit. Fits the unit with my Kiwi Design Comfort strap thats outfitted with the BoboVR battery platform (have to removed the battery though), the attached IR projector, attached Air Cool fan, 3 extra batteries, both controllers, dual battery charging plate, Reloptix Case with my custom lenses, all cords, and my Sanlaki Mini-Magnetic gun stock. You have to play a little tetrus, with it, but it all fits perfectly. I also recommend the padded lens cover just in case anything shifts unexpectedly. My entire kit all in one very cool looking case. That being said, its a 'Firm" case, and not a true 'Hard Case". I wouldn't pack other gear on top of it, as there is some "give" on the main flat areas.
Best case. This case is easy to use and carry. You can take it with you anywhere it very durable.
Cons
Solid case, but not compatible with A2 Headphones. I just finished kitting my Quest 2 out with all the latest and greatest BOBOVR tech, including their A2 Headphones. Decided it was time to buy a case too, so of course I ordered the official one. Unfortunately the headset does not fit if the headphones are attached. This seems like a poor oversight given that they are an official product. Oh well. I’ll have to detach them if I want to transport the headset.
Great case, but mostly useless for the enthusiast. Do you have silicone grips or halo protectors on your controllers? Do you have 3rd party clip-on earphones? Do you have an external battery pack on the top back of your headstrap? Well, you're going to have a really hard time getting all that to fit in this otherwise well-made, sturdy case. Even when I ditched my VR Ears I found that my VR Wave battery pack would be activated when I zipped the lid shut. And with my silicone controller covers on I couldn't use the built-in controller slots as designed. Bottom line: If you have a halo-type headstrap like the BoboVR or the Oculus Elite, but NO OTHER ACCESSORIES, this case could be a nice choice. But most of us will just have to keep searching or build our own. None of these manufacturers seem to take into account that even bottom-level enthusiasts are going to have things like controller covers or battery packs.
It's actually very good, BUT. In most every aspect it is a great product, BUT. My gear doesn't fit inside. Everything was fine right up to time to put my controllers in the bag. Absolutely no way to get any controller with a skin on it in the bad. Nice bag overall, just not worth the effort of removing the controller covers every time I want to pack it up. Guess I will have to DIY a case as no one seems to make anything that will handle an M2 strap and kiwi controller covers. AT a minimum you could mention this 'minor' thing in the description, I bet it would save you a lot of returns.
Fits the headset well, but it's too bulky. It fits the headset very well, but it's so big and bulky that I probably won't travel with it; it would take up half my carry-on suitcase. I know the case size is due to the halo strap, but this case makes me want to remove the M2 Pro strap and switch back to the stock strap for travel; that cuts it down almost 50%. Another thing is that the slot for the battery has no strap to keep the battery in place; it has fallen out of place while I've carried it around. Ended up having to buy a lens protector so my lenses wouldn't get scratched or broken. Bobo needs to add a strap for that compartment. I also have controller grips with the knuckle straps, which make the controllers not fit easily in the intended space; I have to sort of cram them in there, which squishes the foam and I'm afraid might eventually snap the headset strap. I may end up returning this.
