BEST HEADPHONES UNDER $100 I'VE EVER HAD! I've been buying and wearing headphones for more than 15 years. This is the first ones that provides the sound (from bass to treble) and the loudness levels that allow me to hear the TV clearly EVEN WITHOUT MY HEARING AIDS. That's a first. The loudness range is also the best I've ever had. Very comfortable and, as an aside, I didn't even think about the noise cancellation until my wife left in the morning. She always says, "Goodbye" as she leaves and I didn't hear a word and realized she had already gone. Always heard her in the past, but the noise cancellation must have worked.
Great replacement for previous Sony Headphones. We love the new ear cups, smaller headband, charging station and sound quality and noise cancellation. We purchased these after my husbands older Sony headphone broke. We use these for viewing television and it makes every word clear and easily understandable (ie. British shows).
Easy set up. I don't know sound quality off hand, as it was a gift for my Dad. He is hard of hearing, so it was a gift for all of us, so he wouldn't need to have the tv so loud. It was easy to set up and he seems to be very happy with them

Beware If Sold by "NeeGo" ... Suspected Fake Product. I believe the product I received was a repackaged fake, made to appear as a genuine Sony product. Absolutely horrid signal to noise. Even with maximum input, the droning background hum made the true signal unintelligible, across all three channels. I can't believe what I received was a genuine Sony product. Returned the day I received this garbage. Also, outer wrapping was highly suspect (image attached).
READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY. When I received these headphones, the supplied rechargeable AAA batteries would not hold a charge for more than a minute even after a 24 hour charge. However, they would work with a pair of new, non-chargable AAA replacements. After referring to the owners manual I learned that the factory supplied rechargeable AAA batteries that power the headphones are proprietary to Sony. They cannot be replaced with off-the-shelf rechargeable batteries. When you need to replace them due to charging issues, you must buy them from Sony. When I went to Sony's web site to find a supplier, their site would not recognize the model number of these headphones. I don't really believe that these 'Sony' batteries are the only rechargeable AAA's that can be used in these headphones. Even it were the case, does anyone really think that they could actually find replacements for these after a year or two? This is pure 'built-in obsolescence' and part of the reason I returned them.
Poor sound quality. They can’t be connected to TV without an adapter for HDMI. The sound quality when hooked up into TiVo was staticky. The quality of the headphone seems to have gone down as well. We own an older pair from Sony that we ordered from Amazon that works great. I was disappointed that these were not same quality.
