2" flat iron & Tiny flat iron....did it work on my curly frizzy hair? I have been flat ironing my hair for 15+ years now. I have extremely thick, long and frizzy/curly hair. My go to was always the Paul Mitchell flat iron. It heated up quickly and had a really high heat setting. After both of those quit working (probably my fault from dropping them all the time or knocking them off the counter) I went for a cheaper brand. I bought the HSI from Amazon. That one was meh. It took forever to straighten my hair. So searching for a better flat iron I came across the Vanessa. Since it had great reviews, was cheap, and was a lighting deal I ordered the 2" and the tiny one for my baby hairs around my face. The first time I used the 2" iron, I had it on the highest heat setting (which I kept all my irons on) and my hair was as flat as a pancake. The flattest it's ever been! So this iron works! I don't use the highest setting anymore, lol, which is definitely better for my hair! I have never had a flat iron work so well...even my $150 paul mitchell one. I highly recommend!! GREAT BUY!!!
This is the best ever!!! I use a straightener to curl my hair. My hair is past shoulder length, and I wanted a straightener with a longer plate. This is BY FAR, the best straightener I have ever used. Creating curls is almost effortless. And my hair holds the curl for 2-3 days without having to do touchups. As in...I wake up, put my hair in a pony for workout, shower with a shower cap, and after all of that, I don't have to touch up my curls. I highly recommend this straighter!
Thick, deep blades, But.... Nice thick, easy slide blades but as I have found with other straighners, you can not See the temperature your setting it at. And I want to know this. It has up and down temps, which is fine, but if you don't know the temp you have to guess. It has a swivel cord. The cord is normal length like other straighners. I have been looking for a straighner that actually showed the temp and I've checked out some and there almost all the same. I would not recommend this product
Great Value for the Price. I have long 4a hair and I like to wear kinky coarse hair extensions. The last flat iron I owned was a CHI so I was skeptical of buying a flat iron in this price point for my kinky coily hair. It is a great flat iron. I use it on 390 degrees on my hair and it is straight with 1-2 passes. It also presses my extensions very well. What I like most is that it heats up fast and the swivel cord. I would definitely recommend for black natural hair.

I also bought the 2 inch and it broke, but the merchant was very kind and replaced my product quickly!! The 2 inch flat iron was great for longer hair!
