Shampoo is great! This bar shampoo is great. Cleanses hair without chemicals and smells great. Only downfall is coordinating conditioner is melting in my tropical climate.

Best Shampoo I've Ever Tried!! Have never used a bar shampoo before and kept seeing reviews for this one and decided to give it a shot. I have other products by this brand that I love so figured why not! So, when I used it, I decided I would use ONLY it. No other products, conditioners, etc. First off, I couldn't figure out how this was going to make a lather and it did she was AMAZING, especially by using the "painting on" method. Now let me explain my hair. It's fine, slightly wavy, but I've got a lot of it and color treated. I've got a lot of health issues, MS, Hashimotos, Hypothyroidism, vEDS, all contribute to hair loss. On top of that, I've been under a very extreme amount of stress and my body isn't absorbing nutrients properly, so I'm also underweight. I've been losing a TON of hair. Well more than the standard 50-100 hairs a day. The thickness of my hair dropped in half within the last 6 months. So I've tried everything except minoxidil. First wash with this stuff? Didn't lose a single hair while washing. Not one. On top of that, I didn't use conditioner, so I was expecting a nightmare of detangling after washing. Nope!! This stuff made my hair shiny, silky, soft, and totally detangled on it's own. Next morning, brushed it out, expecting a typical 2 brushfuls of hair. Nope, only about 20-40 hairs!! And, on top of that, it still looked as freshly washed as the day before!! I usually wash my hair twice a week and by the middle of the second day after washing it'll need a small bit of dry shampoo. Not this time! So here we are 4 days after washing, still only losing minimal amounts of hair and I STILL haven't had to dry shampoo. If you are suffering from hair loss, GET THIS! If you just want a good- no great- shampoo, GET THIS!! I won't ever get another shampoo. I'm a customer for life with this!

IT WORKS!!! I was having terrible hair loss, handful will stay at the drain after shower and another handful will be on my brush after detangle it. Have been using this product for a month now every other day and there is barely hairs on the drain or the brush. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because my hair does not feel conditioned after use I needed to add conditioner treatment but to give the benefit of the doubt will update if needed since my hair was also very dry prior use. Smells amazing too.

Love, love. My journey for a bar shampoo started when the reality of our excessive use of plastics has become too big of a problem to ignore. I started researching, saw the good reviews and then listening to a podcast and hearing the two women discuss their experience with the Kitsch products I was inspired to try it. So happy I did! Some information to help: I swim in chlorinated water up to 4 times a week. My hair is thin, with wave/loose curls. I don’t condition my hair in the shower but use a leave in conditioner on only the ends. I typically use Biolage or Nexxus products. I don’t plan on buying them again unless something changes. The rice shampoo is wonderful and leaves my hair clean, soft, not dry or frizzy but not limp or greasy. Smell is amazing. I have used the bar for 2 weeks and I am so pleased with the way my hair looks and feels. When I take time to style it, I think it looks healthy just blown out and combed loosely.

Recommendable! I had high expectations when I bought this bar shampoo and the conditioner, as reviews I read were very positive. I agree, this bar shampoo is fantastic. My hairdresser commented on how shiny my hair was, before I this her og my new hair product. The bar shampoo/conditioner is really easy to use. I have very fine hair, and due to my age 50+ my hair is thinning. I have used this product for a little less than 2 months and I don't really notice any new hair growth. Since my hair is fine and blond it may just be difficult to see, but I wouldn't say it's excellent for promoting new hair growth. I have noticed, though, less hair loss in the shower and brush/combo. In the beginning I experienced some scalp itching, but I continued to use the soaps and the itching stopped. I would say it itched after maybe 4 washes and then it stopped. I have since bought a set of this shampoo and conditioner for 4 people (2 sets were shipped overseas) because a absolutely love it and wanted people close to me to experience the benefits of this product as well. 5 stars from me.

Cons

Not For My Curls (3A). I really wanted to love this product. The concept is great. I love the idea of reducing plastic, but Kitsch just didn't hit the mark where my hair is concerned. Though I did like the scent of both the shampoo and the conditioning bars, the product weighed my hair down and flattened my hair. After using it for one week, my hair seemed full of build-up and it was very difficult to get it out. I had hoped this product would address some of the breakage I've been experiencing, but I just couldn't handle how sad and limp it made my hair appear. I've returned to using my tried and true shampoo and conditioner and my curls have been restored. Hoping a supplement can address the breakage.

Not for fine hair. Shampoo smells lovely but does not work well on fine hair. Left my hair flat and feeling dry. Loved the fact that it was in a box however the shampoo bar was wrapped in plastic. The box was made in China. Although the product is made in USA it does not say from where the ingredients are sourced. I will probably give it to my friend who recommended it and will not buy it again.

Drying. Ive tried other bar shampoos but I tried this one due to its supposed to be for dry hair and safe for color treated hair but my hair feels dry after using. Do you make a conditioning bar soap?

Not for long hair. Kind of a pain using on my long hair… takes a lot to get it to lather much and I feel like sometimes my hair doesn’t get all the way clean. This stuff does make your hair super soft though!
