WORKS EASILY ON 4C HAIR TYPE TOO!!! I just received this product today and couldn't wait to use it. The positive reviews are on point!! My guy strongly suggested I get Andis Masters hair clippers, but I'm a newbie to trying to cut my own hair (due to Covid-19) and I wanted something relatively easy & affordable to use. SUPER GLAD I took the chance on these by Hatteker. You get so many things for the price including a powerful motor, ease of use, clipper oil & a spare battery. It was easy to use with a full charge fresh out of the box. I have 4c type natural/coarse hair. Since I didn't see anyone that looked like my hair type in the photo reviews, I wanted to leave feedback in case it helps someone else make the choice to get these awesome hair clippers!!!
Very clean cutting and sturdy. The media could not be loaded. I’ve gone through a few trimmers already and this trimmer definitely cuts cleaner than most. The fact that it has two sets of blades for fine trimming and regular hair maintenance is very nice. The adjustable guard goes from 3-8 which I use on the back and sides of my head so you’ll save a few trips to the barber.
Excellent trimmer. This is an excellent trimmer. I shave my head a couple of times a week with it and use it on my face as well cause I don't like to shave. This hss been my routine with other trimmers for 15 years. I purchase a trimmer every few years because they stop working, or I lose them on my travels. I usually purchase either Wahl or Phillips/Norelco brands, but though I'd try something new based on the reviews and photographs. I'm really happy I did. Pros: Cuts close Large cutting area Feels good in your hand Battery indicator Battery life Extra battery Solid Construction Easy to clean Usb charger Accessories Fairly priced Cons: Full size It would be a perfect shaver for me if it was a bit smaller in the handle as I travel frequently and this will take up a good amount of space in a toiletry bag. I'm willing to accept this cause I like the larger size of the cutting area, so it's a tradeoff.
Hands down, the best hair and beard trimmer I've ever used-- you won't find a better value. After buying two top brand (now discontinued) beard trimmers with a vacuum chamber, and two top brand plug-in hair clippers, the Hatteker is the perfect all in one tool for beard and hair. I've been cutting my own hair (and beard when I grow it) for the past 10+ years. It's incredibly quiet, feels durable, has great battery life and having a second battery is awesome. For my beard, I used to switch to the hair clippers once my beard go to about the 15mm length as the beard trimmer struggled with that thickness. Now I have one tool that seems to be ideal for both. I also cut my 10 year old son's hair about once a month-- he's a red-head with very thick hair and this works every bit as good as the plug in clippers, but no cord to worry about! The 3-8 millimeter dial is perfect for growing out a beard, keeping it neat and even, and even goes to half mm settings. The only reason for the 4 rating for "ease of use" is the box. I cut the top off and taped the sides so I could use the flimsy plastic to keep all the heads & attachments organized. It would be really cool if they upgraded the packaging to an iPhone style sturdy box that would also serve as an organization for all the parts. I do really like the stand that it came with. If you've ever bought and thoroughly used any other hair clipper for beard trimmer, I can absolutely guarantee you won't be disappointed with this, especially for the price.
Great for the price. I was looking for a good beard trimmer after going thru so many cheap $12 trimmers from big box stores and found this. It's much more than that. Took a while to find out how to attach the smaller trimmers, the instructions sucked. It is more for professional barbers than home use. Much better quality than I expected for the price. I figured it all out and it works great for what I need. Kind of an over kill but that's OK. Great product. I wish it came with a stand that could recharge it. It won't run with the charger plugged in but it has two batteries that can be recharged separably.. No problem with me but might be for others. Overall, it's great for what I need it for.
Great product for a great price. I have been cutting my own hair for about 15 years with a traditional Wahl trimmer. I have used this trimmer 3 times now. At the end of my third time the battery is finally down to 80%. The trimmer does a very quick job leaving my hair very even. It is far more adjustable and maneuverable than anything else I have used. I highly recommend it.

Misleading photo. The photo of the product shows the clippers charging in the stand. The red "pluged in" icon is even lit up. This doesn't come with a charging stand. I suspect that it did once. The instruction booklet even says "Place the hair trimmer on the charging base." One of the reasons I bought this was that the charging base of my old clippers stopped working. I got annoyed having the cord dangling around my sink and having to plug it in all the time. You can't even put it in the base when it's plugged in. At least they could have designed a plug and base that you could use at the same time. Plug it in from the side or leave the bottom of the base open so I could pull the cord through. I'm tempted to modify the base myself, but I don't think the trimmers will stand up in the base without the little false plug at the bottom of the stand that fits into the power plug
Good trimmer... BUT... The media could not be loaded. This trimmer looks to be good, but I think they sent me the wrong base. Hopefully I can get the right one. Hatteker can you help me out? Video attached to see what I'm referring to. Happy to review again once I figure out this base !
Almost great, high pitched squealing sound constantly. The media could not be loaded. Overall I like this buzzer, attachments, extra battery, battery life, ease of use for a good deal. Problem is after using for a few short minutes the buzzer started making a high pitch squealing sound constantly. I tried adding lubricant but it doesn't fix the squealing. I've attached a video showing the sound. It comes from the spinning motor area, not the blades. Does this happen with all of these devices or just mine??
Cheap and falsely advertised. I think many of these reviews are fake, but I really did have this product and tried it for over a month. Bottom blade is definitely plastic. It says it's ceramic. That changes the quality big time. It doesn't self-sharpen. It also has a large gap between the top and bottom blades on the shortest setting. Also, the battery only lasts a few uses before it dies--it does come with two batteries but if you charge both (to make for easy battery swap when one dies) the other will also be dead by the time the first one dies, so you end up having to re-charge them both anyway (so really, no point in having two). Also, you can't run it while it is charging, i.e. it cannot become corded (wireless only as long as the batteries are charged). Lastly, the whole thing feels really light weight--I think it's all plastic minus the top blade. I like a heavy clippers, and I think heavy tends to mean better quality. I could go on and on but those are the main take-aways. The best thing about this is how many accessories it comes with. You can get a decent fade due to all the variations of sizes, etc. But overall the quality is so poor, I don't expect it to last long, so I'll be returning.
NO SUPPORT SUPPORT. THE HATTEKER COMPANY "HAS" NO INFORMATION FOR "ALL" REPLACEMENT THE PARTS THAT COME WITH THE CLIPPER, IF YOU BREAK A PART (USB CORD, STAND BASE, HOLDER etc.), THERE SITE IS "VERY" UN-INFORMATIVE. I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU THINK ABOUT ANOTHER BRAND.
Does NOT have a charging stand. Despite the suggestion in the listing, there is no charging stand, it simply has a flimsy piece of plastic to hold the unit upright - redundant, its flat base permits that even without a stand. You charge it by plugging in a wire, so it has to lie flat for charging, and then you can turn it upright. The unit may itself be functional (did not turn it on, returned it once realized website description was misleading) and certainly felt solid. But I wanted a trimmer with a charging stand - is that so hard to manufacture?
