Spring into Colorful Nails. I used to get my nails professionally done every two weeks for many, many years. One day, I got tired of sitting in a chair, figuring out colors/designs and driving to an appointment. Kind of sad actually that something I used to love wasn't fun anymore, but I just became so busy that spending $60 every two weeks for something I was no longer enjoying seemed ridiculous. Thus, I decided that after watching the process for so many years, that I could do something similar at home. I have been doing my own nails for about six months now and have been using Beetles gel polish colors. I tried them due to the high reviews and have not been disappointed thus far. This is the second set of colors I purchased. The description was point on and I received all the colors noted therein. I purchased this kit specifically for the neon colors and pastels with spring and summer coming up. The pack came with additional top coats as well. Now the downside I have found with this polish is the top coats. I use a different brand for my base/foundation and top coats, but I tried the top coats for this on glitter nails because I did not want to get glitter mixed in with my other top coat. Glitter is so beautiful on nails, but such a mess. While the top coat works completely fine, the smell is nasty. Now, mind you, it is not something that lasts for long and does not change my overall opinion of their products. However, if you are easily nauseated, then I would suggest using a different top coat. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone. The picture only shows a sample of what you get because I believe the photos the company provides are very detailed.
Cute but tends to peel at the edges. I like the color selection shown, but some colors aren’t quite the same as the pictures. Certain colors take more coats to be opaque, but you can definitely get there within 2 or 3 coats. The polish stays for a long time when applied properly, but can have a tendency to peel up a little at the edges. When it comes to removal, I found it a little more difficult than removing acrylics. It was easier to remove when I used the nail tips, but removing from the natural nail was a little difficult (I have a nail dremel and acetone soaking baths). I recommend getting a UV lamp that will fit your whole hand vs just one finger at a time as you need to apply the base coat, 2 layers of polish and top coat, and it can become very time consuming with the single finger lamp. With all that said, I do truly enjoy the product and believe that some of my issues might be user error (peeling).

Everything came in pristine condition, safely packed in a beautiful box with detailed instructions on how to use the product as well as troubleshooting tips. There is a nice variety here between cream, glitter and jelly options and the wide variety of colors. All of the polishes applied like a dream. I put two coats of color on all of the swatches but there were a couple of the cream pastels that I could have gotten away with only one coat. Even the chunky glitters went on smoothly and required minimal fuss to get the glitters even. This set also comes with a base coat, glossy top coat and a matte top coat all of which were top notch products as well! The base coat seems to do its job and the gloss top coat went on smoothly, leveled itself out well and is nice and shiny. The real star of the show for me was the matte top coat! This is the first one I found that goes on and cures with no streaking! If you're on the fence or confused about the many options of gel polishes available here on Amazon, just stop looking and buy this one! You won't be disappointed! I will update my review with how well the polish wears and how long it lasts after I have done a set of nails with them.

Perfect for my needs. I bought a light kit a few years ago... Probably during COVID. The colors it came with were meh. I had a sudden urge to but some colors for Easter (tomorrow) this morning. I was able to get same day delivery and these colors are cute!! I love that it came with the base coat and a MATTE top coat. The box was cute.. so it gave me a sense of reassurance. When I opened it, the tray was sturdy... The bottles are honestly smaller than a normal nail polish. Maybe the size of my thumb below the knuckle... But I have never worked through an entire bottle of nail polish so it's perfect! I learned early on, use thin coats!!! This did not glob on like the other brand I have. Super easy to use!!

Honest Review with Photo Swatches "Perfect 21" I purchased the color set "Perfect 21" and they ended up not being so perfect. I was fairly disappointed, but I do really like the brand. **ALL SWATCHES HAVE 2 COATS AND ARE MATTE ON THE BOTTOM** For me color inaccuracy is a big deal when it comes to the advertised photos because that is what I'm expecting to receive when I'm buying in line. However I have had a couple experiences with Beetles where two colors that are basically identical, but they weren't identical in the photos. The colored stickers on top of each bottle do not accurately match the color of the actual polish. That is some thing that I've noticed is consistent with this particular brand. The product photos are misleading. As you can see in one of my photos, over HALF of the color are completely sheer even with 2 coats. The sheerness does go away with the matte top coat, however it's disappointing that the colors aren't opaque with 2 coats as instructed on the box. I genuinely feel like I can't use half the colors because the image showed they would be opaque that is the only reason I bought them. Overall, I will no longer be purchasing the 20+ kits due to that and the fact they are smaller, which I didn't mind initially, but added on top of that 1/2 the colors are sheer and were useless to the reason I purchased, I'm disappointed. Note that the polish bottles in this kit are 5 mL and not the 7 1/2 mL that you would get in the six pack of polish. You can also see that in my photos. It would be nice to be able to get a 20 set with full sized bottles instead of having the 6 count. I will be sticking to the 6 count. The photos are 50% more accurate and the bottles are bigger and actually opaque like the product images. Hopefully this review is helpful for future buyers. The Beetles itself is fairly decent for at home beginners. The polish quality is fine, but you have to mix it like ever other polish, prep your nails correctly, and apply in thin even coats and you won't have any issues. So I will say that the reviews about the product peeling for issues with like the polish itself is user error if applied correctly it's fine. I have only ever experience peeling when the nail wasn't actually prepped because sometimes I really don't feel like doing all that. As far as allergies, I personally did not have any bad reaction, but of course that varies person to person. Overall, I will be sticking with this brand, I was disappointed by this particular 20+ set. I recommend putting your money into the smaller 6 count sets with the 10 ml or even the 1-3 count with the 15 ml bottles.

Just a few flaws but overall great quality!! This is such a great set of colors! the variety of colors is amazing plus they are super pigmented! I do find if the layer of polishes isn't on the thinner side i do have problems with the gel bubbling underneath but with thin layers + a base coat i've found it's not much of a problem! the only other complaint i have is after about 2 1/2 weeks of wear i do start to see some chipping but overall for the price and quality i think it's a great beginner buy !
Beetles summer colors shrunk in size or what. The media could not be loaded. So I have been buying beetles polish kits and love them the bottles are small but they are still great for the price . I order another summer colors kit and the bottles are half the Small size they were before even smaller!!! Dissapointed
