Worked great. It worked great but after a few times got a memory error. Reached out to the company and they are making it right.
Quick and easy to use. Item is as discribed. I immediately tested the calibration of this against ice water proven to be 0°F and it read accurately. When tested against multiple other non contact thermometers, it read similarly +/- 0.1°F, over several readings. Though, it regularly matched the other readers. Would purchase again. Good price. Came with batteries and stree free packaging.
Not easy to use. Update: It has beeps to tell you when it's done reading. It reads in seconds! Very fast. I like this now. I put it very close to my forehead and count to five or listen for the beeps to get a read. I'm not sure it's 100% accurate. But close. Not easy to use. It's very temperamental and you have to flip it over to read the temp. It's necessary to nearly touch your forehead to get a good read other than lo. It might be good using on someone else but if you need yo take your own temp it's very time consuming and frustrating. Maybe I got a lemon?

Easy to use but inconsistent readings. The thermometer is super easy to use and read. However the temperature readings are very inconsistent. If I check my child's head more than once it often gives a very different reading the second time. So it's difficult to know what the true temperature is.

This is still a one-star product, and the customer service left a lot to be desired. However, the outcome was satisfactory. I've increased my rating by one star. FOLLOW-UP 9/20/2020 Three months after purchase, the thermometer no longer reads anywhere near a reasonable forehead temperature. If Amazon's 30-day refund window had not expired, I would be asking for a refund. Now, I have to buy a different one. I needed a non-contact thermometer for an athletic facility. I'm not sure why I selected this thermometer out of the many listed on Amazon. It looked like it was comfortable to hold (and it is). The readout looked like it was easy to read (and it is). I took my temperature many times, and it always showed 97.1 to 97.4 F, which is easily sufficient to differentiate healthy from feverish. I did not test the sensitivity of the hot or cold indicator lights or the memory function. However, the instructions are terrible! There are two mini-documents that come with the device - instructions and a quick start guide. They differ in how to take your temperature. For instance, one says to touch your forehead (so they understand "non-contact?"), while the other says to hold the device about an inch from your forehead. This unit is to be used by over 100 people, so I experimented with it and wrote my own set of instructions. When this particular unit arrived, I found it didn't beep when it's ready to read. I tried both manuals and some sequences of my own - no beep. As it turns out, it doesn't matter to me, but it will to some users. Finally, I was unable to find any thermometer that has a hole through which I could connect a lanyard or chain so that the unit wouldn't go missing. I was able to find an open spot on the case and used Gorilla Glue to attach a metal chain. The thermometer is still easy to hold and work.
