Cloud Castle does not feel like a "baby jail" This is a wonderful "cloud castle" that can be used to accommodate almost any size area. My 4 year old grandchild and 9-month old crawling brother were comming for a visit. I wanted something that we could put the baby in without worrying. The older brother and his baby brother would play together for hours in it, bringing their other safe toys into their castle. We'd leave the 'castle gate' open so the kids could come in and out and that made a big difference to their feeling like this was their special space/castle and not trapped like in a playpen or 'baby jail', as they first referred to it when the box first arrived.

The best thing a parent can buy. It was getting IMPOSSIBLE to get anything done while making sure my kiddo didn’t get into anything he wasn’t supposed to. This genius little baby prison changes EVERYTHING. It’s not only good for me, my son loves having his own space and is learning to play by himself! This contraption is also helping him learn to stand up on his own with all of the cut outs he can pull himself up a lot easier.

Suction cups are awful. It's sturdy but the suction cups don't stick to our laminate flooring at all and my sons is always pushing it around. Also, his foot has gotten caught twice in between the spaces at the bottom.
The entire playpen is a ladder. I bought three sets of this playpen product which worked great when our granddaughter was crawling. Now she is 1 year old and uses the lowest cut-outs to give herself enough height to get her other foot through the star or moon shapes. We tried covering the mid-level cutouts with tape, but she still climbs the walls and doors like a ladder. Once she can stand with both of her feet through the various cutout shapes, the top of the wall is well below her waist. Now we will have to cover all cut-out shapes with tape so she can't scale the walls and hurt herself.

Apparently it's possible for a 22 month old to climb the abacus panel. Twice already today I found him happily enjoying his freedom on the sofa next to the pen. He's not even 2. This product is intended for up to 3 years of age. It's got a serious design flaw that makes it obsolete before the age limit. It did work albeit flawed until today, so I'm giving it a 2 star instead of just 1. Edit: I watched him carefully today on how he got out. Turns out my son is a ninja who is flexible and strong enough to put one ankle on top of the fence and pull his body up. Bringing up the review to 3 stars, because they still could be a bit taller and the hinges still have flawed design.
Not for kids who climb. The design is cute with the moon and stars cut out. My 15 month old used the moon and stars to climb out of it. She put her feet in the holes proudly and tried to figure out how to get out. This is a safety issue for me so I returned it. Otherwise, it's a great product.
