No worries here. I'm not at all worried about this falling off the wall. We found the studs and used the lag bolts to attach to the wall. We have a 100 year old house with horsehair plaster on wood framing. Just be sure you find those studs! This is on a 55" TV. Don't mind the holes in the wall, I have not fixed since taking off the old hanger.
Very Rugged Construction with Excellent Instructions. Wall mount is of very rugged construction with well placed mounting holes. Package contains a large variety of mounting hardware for any new TV that I know of and the installation instructions are excellent.
easy install. really easy to install - need your own level but other than that it's a breeze to install. Very sturdy, holds my 55" tv very securely. Could use slightly more horizontal adjustment ability. I mounted between two windows in my living room and, apparently the studs are not evenly spaced, so the mount is not centered on the wall - not a huge deal since there's a TV blocking the view and you can't see the mounting position, but the TV is also not centered, you can slide the mounts laterally to center the TV but just not quite enough. Not a deal breaker for an $40 tv mount and, unless you're super anal about stuff like this, it does the job quite well.
Simple install. Very pleased. I have never installed a wall mount before and finding one that I was able to use on the first flat screen I ever bought (Vizio 47”) from 2010, which has always been freestanding on a pedestal. The template and instructions were so easy, I thought I was doing something wrong. I had some interesting students to work with in that part of my basement and the T&G pine made it a slight adventure but using the provided spacers made overcoming that a breeze. Full marks for this product.
Super strong. Pretty easy to install. I used a hammer drill to drive the lag bolts, made it much easier. I like the design: two vertical bars mount to the back of the tv, then those bars easily fit onto the bracket. Overall, a nice mounting system (I've done a few).
Heavier than TV but works great. The new TV's are much lighter than the older models. This mount is probably heavier than the TV. The range and adjustability is great 100%. I am completely satisfied with this purchase..
Cons
Decent TV Mount. Easy to install; doesn't feel as sturdy as other brands I've used. The mount doesn't have "end stops", so sliding the brackets on the mount, you could slide it right off the end. I had to rig something up for a little more security.
Can’t install exactly where I want. The mounting plate needs to be 6 or 8 inches longer to allow the unit center to be moved anywhere between the studs. Otherwise it is a good tv mount.
Do not buy this item. Do not buy this item. They do not tell you that you need to go to the hardware store and buy hardwoods to install properly on a wall. What a disappointment.
We couldn’t get it work with our walls. Our house is relatively new build so my husband still have prints. After struggling for awhile we couldn’t secure it on all studs, only middle one, so we really don’t want to take a chance and have brand new tv falling off for some reason. Will it? Probably not, but again my husband didn’t feel like it was safest option. It’s seems like a great mount if you can secure it on studs, we checked the measurements of course before getting it but it seems like we just couldn’t get it secure enough.
