Pros
Players are better WITHOUT internet connections! After numerous Sony players (with wifi) started having issues, I decided to try the Panasonic WITHOUT wifi. What a difference. This player responds much faster and seems to work much better without 5,000 different choices and selections bogging it down. From now on I will be buying blu-ray/DVD players without the internet junk causing issues and problems. And I won't buy any more Sony players ever. This Panasonic player is great so far!
So far so good. I gave this as a Christmas gift to my 68 year old mother. If she can use it, anyone can use it. So far the picture quality has been great and it has been working well. One of the reasons I bought it is because it’s so compact in size. So this product is good for small spaces.

love the fact that you can play mp3's and mp4's on it. love the fact that you can play mp4's and mp3's on it. Way to much on screen menu's . The remote sucks because the main controls for play , pause and so on are to tiny they should be the biggest buttons on the controler but all in all I love it. Planning on buying another one or two.

Cons
Very difficult with some DVDs. The remote has only one button for Top menu and Popup menu. For some DVDs ("A lot like Love", "Against All Odds" do not work. ), this button cannot get to the menu, It shows "This operation is not available" and you are almost stuck in the movie. The only way to get out is use the Option button on the remote, then maneuver thru the Operational Menu to get to the "Menu" selection (4 button presses). For Blu-ray discs the button goes to the pop-up menu on the disc, but on the discs I tried, there is always an option in the pop-up menu to go to the "Top Menu". Otherwise I like this unit. But looks like it is going back to Amazon.
Brand new player stuck in setup mode; minimal unit. I am a BIG Panasonic products fan. Unpacked this BluRay player and inserted a brand new BluRay movie. It stuttered and got stuck in the setup menu. I could not get the player out of setup mode with the remote. I tried turning off the unit to restart the player. No real effect. I got this as a backup to an existing Panasonic BluRay player that is waaay overbuilt from a few years ago and works flawlessly. This is a very minimal unit in both size and functionality. Even less so when it doesn't even get out of the setup menu.

I can't believe how poorly designed and functional this product is. I like to have my DVD and blu rays Loop while playing. But that feature is generally disabled on Blu-rays and I read a comment on the internet that Panasonic's what allow you to Loop any Blu-ray. While I typically buy the cheapest DVD/Blu-ray players that are available. Approximately $30 - $40. I've never owned one that was so poorly designed. All of the menu features are supposed to be accessed via the arrow pad and okay button. I literally had to press the down button hundreds of times in order for it to occasionally move to the third menu item. This reactivated my carpal tunnel syndrome which I haven't had a problem with for years. Even without this issue the menu is so poorly designed it takes a lot of button-pushing to Simply change one feature like to turn on subtitles. I was never able to set the repeat option. The remote control had fresh batteries and I placed it close and directly pointing at the sensor on the unit. It made no difference. This unit automatically Powers off after using it for a few hours. I will be returning this item or throwing it out
Received Damaged. Works and picture is pretty good. I really like the compact size of it. But was received damaged, smashed inner box and dented player. Box had a big red sticker on it, like we knew but here ya go..
