Want to Center your TV on the Wall? Mounting Dream is your Best Option. I've now ordered 4 mounting brackets to mount two different TV's. Why four? Because the first two weren't Mounting Dream brackets; they were cheap substitutes I've found a single problem with mounting brackets that Mounting Dream seems to have figured out. Others should take a lesson from them. A tale of two walls, two TV's and one home builder. I'll start with the home builder. I've got two separate walls, both of which came with in-wall conduit. Great idea and it's a much-appreciated feature. However, when constructing the house, the wall studs are just placed every 16" starting from the left. That means that if you mark them out on the wall, they aren't centered across the wall span. If you buy a 16" stud mount from Amazon (readily available for $40) it means you're mounting where the studs are - off center of the wall. That's ridiculous. I'm not mounting my TV off center on the wall. I bought two different cheaper mounts, both advertising for 16" studs. They got returned. Here's where Mounting Dream "gets it." They offer both wider mounting options, as well as the ability to slide the TV along the wider mount so that even if your studs aren't centered, you can still center the TV on the wall, off-center of the mount. Brilliant! Seems like all mounts should come with this option but they don't. Beware. If you need to center your TV on a wall, safe yourself a lot of headache, and wasted time, and buy a Mounting Dream Mount.
Very Sturdy, quality mount. I was originally looking at some cheaper wall mounts, but after reading many reviews on the Dream TV mounts, I decided to purchase this unit with the optional extensions. I'm really glad I did, because the extensions allowed me to center the mount over our TV location, even though it wasn't equally spaced between two studs. The directions are very good, and there is a variety of hardware to fit multiple TVs. After mounting this to the wall with the beefy lag bolts, I have zero worries about it coming off - it is STURDY. After mounting the TV there are plenty more adjustments to get it positioned just right. There is ample side-to-side movement, as well as tilt, and also rotation. I'm very happy I chose this mount.
Easier Than I Thought Possible. My wife and I just purchased a Samsung 65" TV to replace a wall-mounted 55" model. We decided to replace the basic bracket and looked at the Mounting Dream bracket. Installation was a breeze, barely taking 30 minutes. What we liked most is the array of screws and spacers that were included, "just in case." There were three sets of screws to attach the hangers to the back of the TV. The back on our TV is slightly curved, so we needed longer screws and spacers to securely attach the hangers. No problem, they were included. The instructions for mounting the wall bracket are based on a stud spacing of 24". Our studs are spaced at 16", so the extension rails weren't needed. If you're looking for a strong, easy to install wall mount for your TV, this one deserves a look.
strong, sturdy, and reliable. Using this for my 65" QLED TV I got during prime day and it was fairly easy to install, mind you i'm horrible with this kind of stuff. I do wish it tilted a bit more downwards but it does the job and can extend out pretty far and turns either direction with some ease. If you find it too hard to adjust at times there is a small lever you can work with to make it easier. It is a two man job on certain parts to install this mount so just keep that in mind.
Great flexible product for the price!! This product was well packed and included enough hardware for different instillation types. Also, included a small level designed to stick on the wall template to ensure level placement of the template. The template had adhesive on the back to stick to the wall. Package includes another bigger level to use on the actual wall mount, probably wouldn’t need this if you use the included template. The wall mount has expansion “legs” to accommodate larger spaces between studs. The instructions were easy to understand, and installing was easy.
Great for 65" TCL. Mounted 65" 6 Series TCL. Came out perfect. Mount is excellent, very strong, easy to adjust. Instructions are great. Definitely consider if the vesa screw holes are in the middle of your TV or towards the bottom and factor that in when determining how high off the ground the mount should go, otherwise your TV may wind up too high. I took an extra few minutes to measure it all out (my VESA screw holes were towards bottom of TV) and I subtracted a few extra inches or so from the height I wanted the center of my TV and it came out right where I wanted it because this 6 series TCL hangs higher than a TV with vertically centered vesa screw holes. Nominal height is suggested 42" for center of TV. I put my center of TV around 48" off the ground. You can definitely hang with one person because after you get the mount up, you basically hook the TV onto the mount and then clamp it in. However, when you hook the TV onto the mount, the TV will tip forward under its own weight unless you first turn the arms/levers on the mount to tighten the mount into a vertical position before you put the TV on it. If you do that first then hook the TV onto the lateral bar you could let go (at your own discretion) and screw the clamps into place to lock the TV onto the mount. You need to use a screwdriver to tighten the clamp and lock the TV onto the mount. ONE DRAWBACK FOR BIGGER TVS: If you need to angle TV significantly you may want to opt for mount with longer arm. The bigger the TV the less you will be able to angle without it bumping into wall. In the pic this was the maximum I was able to angle my TV. I do wish I could squeeze a few more degrees out of it.
Cons
Received with bent mounting arm. Update: Ok, install went fine after bending bracket into shape (see below). Mount works very well and is solid even with my 45 lb, 50" Samsung plasma. 100 lb capacity is questionable in terms of functionality. It may work but 100 lbs would be a lot to maneuver. My only small complaint was a desire to have a cushion between the upper hangers and the horizontal bar. The metal on metal contact allows for slop which creates some clunking when the TV is being repositioned. Received with TV mounting arm bent. Obvious damage that anyone can see. Appears to have occurred during production because of no damage to paint. Had choice to wait for replacement (oh, but wait, Amazon doesn’t offer replacement) or attempt to straighten It myself. I chose the latter but it was not easy as this bracket must lie flat. Overall the mount works great and it is well made but I find it difficult to understand how even a minimal amount of QC effort was not spent.
sturdy and well built, but not a great design. Purchased this mount to put my 55' samsung TV on the wall. Install was relatively easy enough and instructions were easy enough to follow. I ran into two problems 1. the design of my wall puts a stud dead center as to where I want to mount the TV. However the wall unit is only long enough to span two studs and not three, so you end up having to either cut into your wall and install spacers and then attach the wall mount, or you offset your base and then try and center the TV. Not exactly ideal, but it can work. The second problem I ran into is the way the brackets are designed the entire setup you attach the TV to on the wall mount blocks both the power cable AND any audio/LAN connections. Which prevents you from using the TV at all. While they provide you with 2 screw length options, they are either too long or too short to be of proper length. I finally gave up trying to jerry rig the entire system and I ended up having to return the mount.
No way to mount a Samsung 65 series LED on this piece of junk.. Although one of the question asked specifically mentioned the Samsung 65 series and the answer was that it is compatible, IT IS NOT! the 65 series has a curved back, and no combination of the supplied bolts, washers and spacers will allow a successful mounting. Not even the spacers that come with the Samsung work. The design is faulty, the directions are confusing, and the product will not work as advertised. Beware of questions that are answered with a view toward selling you this product instead of truthfully describing what it can and cannot do. EDIT: just before sending the mount back I talked to Best Buy's Geek Squad, in the store I'd purchased the LED. Turns out that Samsung anticipated the problem with the curved back and supposedly included a fix: some oversized long spacers that held the two mounting bars to the back of the TV. There did not seem to be anything like that but it turned out my neighbor had two extra. I still think the whole thing is a kluge and I blame the seller for not making this clear and Samsung for not issuing a warning about the curved back issue and their "fix". I had to go down to Ace Hardware to get longer metric bolts, but finally managed to get the TV hung. So, if you have one of this model, a UN65RU7100, and you have the special spacers, and can buy the longer metric bolts (M8 50mm 1.25 pitch) it may work. But, given the lack of information by both seller and Samsung I'd give you a big caveat emptor.
Meh. The instructions and diagrams could be better but I figured it out. Seems like the build quality is ok except ours will not hold level if we move it the slightest bit. I had to loosen/re-level/re-tighten the plate bolts 3 times before we ever turned the tv on. I'll see how it holds up but so far it's a bit aggravating. Do yourself a favor and throw away the allen wrench that comes with it and use a better quality, long allen wrench. You'll be glad that you did.
Keep looking. I was tempted by the temporary deal and thought I’d take a chance. While the mount is sturdy to the wall, when you hang the tv on the mount it feels shaky. And if you have to slide the tv in either direction you can unbalance the leveling and it tilts. The range of motion was a disappointment since it doesn’t come out from the wall far enough. I’ve bought other mounts that were WAY better. This one was a mistake.
Incomplete/incorrect. I’m confused as to why this has so many positive reviews. The only possibility I can think of is that people are getting a variety of different packages and combinations, despite ordering what we believe to be the same product. The mount itself seems fine, but my package didn’t include the adjustable mounting arms to reach 24” studs, and out of the 6 types of hardware included, there is literally only one that I can use for anything in the kit. Everything else is either the wrong thread type for anything in the kit, or if the threads at least fit somewhere, the bolts are either far too short or far too long to be possible to use. Also, while the kit is simple enough for many people to figure out, it doesn’t come with any instructions, despite each part and piece of hardware being labeled with a number or letter. No problem if you’re even mildly handy, but it’s something to note, and also another reason why this kit is odd.
